the soft still-green earth to life
from sprout to bud perfection flits
blithe bird songs drown out strife

Dreams are in the sparkling air
breathy breezes whisper peace
catching the heart that aches with care
promising burdens released

Each color swells, shining pure
more alive than natural seems
bounce in step, spring brings no cure
just wakens misplaced hope, joy streams
