Hi! I am Amelia S. I'm 12 yeas old andI want to be a dirctor when I row up. So be looing for my nam in lights! So far I hve made at east 7 movies with my fiends! Here is ne sript sorry that te fit part is cut off. "My daughters room- it is an absolute mess!" Lorenzo looked around. So did I. I saw the broken window so I peeked outside. Directly under the window was the wheel going into rapid waters. I turned to Lorenzo and said "whoever did it probably climbed the wheel, broke the window, and climbed back out with the girls. No one heard because the water is so loud." Lorenzo’s eyes widened "I need to go sit down" he told me as he started walking down the stairs to his office so he could sit and think. I followed him but then tuned outside. I looked around the creek until I came to the dock. I looked down and saw a wet footprint and a peace of rope. Whoever tied the boat to the dock didn’t tie it very well because the rope was still there and the boat was up the creek stuck in the tree branches. I had no luck looking for finger prints because they had been washed away by the water. But the footprints I saw were headed up to the mountains, so I started to follow them. "Larry, just tie the boat and get over here!" Eve L. demanded. "Coming," Larry called back to her as he was just finishing tying the boat to the dock. He looked at his partner dragging the two crying children towards the mountains. He raced to catch up to them. "Larry give them the powdered lollipops" Eve commanded him. Larry dug through his bag and pulled out two lollipops. "Here girls!" He gave them the lollipop witch they immediately popped in their mouths, and just as soon as they sucked them down they were in a deep sleep. I stared up to the peak of the mountain where the footprints stoped. I told Lorenzo not to let any of the workers leave the factory until I had the mystery solved. I started to get my hiking gear on and grabbed my brefcase when Lorenzo came running over with his attendance sheet waving in the air. " What is it?" I asked him "Larry Forgetsalot is missing!" Lorenzo cried and slammed the attendance sheet in to my face " the same person must have got him too! I mean he not much smarter then a 5 year old and could have been lured away by a lollipop!" He was now having a total meltdown so I got his a glass of water and assured him if the same person captured them both they were probably in the same places. As soon as he had calmed down I started up the slope. "We are almost there, why did you stop?" Eve L. was not happy she had been through a lot and wanted to just get to the hideout and relax, but no she had dragged her abknocus partner with her "Larry answer me!" she rage as she spun around. Then she noticed what he had stopped for; those to mange kid they had kidnapped were awake and crying. "I though you gave them the sleeping powered lollipops!" "I did," he said rather dumbly as he handed her the bottle he dipped the lollipops in. Eve read the cover. "Larry, this is the 40 minute stuff, I told you to use the 3 hour stuff!" she practically screamed, give me one of the girls!" Eve snatched Jamie’s hand and dragged her up the hills. She stumbled and her untied shoe slid off easily between two jagged rocks. "Wait, my shoe," Jamie cried as she as she tried to find her balance with one shoe. Eve ignored her and kept walking. After about 20 minutes they came to the spot the hideout should be. They found no sign of a hideout. Eve decided to go looking for the door, and left Larry with the two little girls. As soon as Eve turned the corner Larry had an idea. Because he was not much smarter than a 5-year-old, it was NOT a good idea. He rummaged through his bag and whipped out 3 bottles of paint. " Okay kids, now we can finger pain on the rocks here!" Larry gave them some smocks and found the flattest rock he could. They all took turns putting their hand prints on the rocks in neon pinks and yellows. After about 5 minutes Eve came back to a big surprise. She looked at the rock wall that surrounded the hideout’s walls; it was covered in rainbows and handprints. In all the excitement she dropped the mill blueprints she was holding and let them blow away. Thinking that no one ever came up the mountains she didn’t run after them, instead she started yelling at Larry. "I leave for all of 5 minutes and practically destroy the hideout!" she screamed as she collected up the kids and dragged them through the door. She turned back to Larry. " You are so lucky that no one ever comes up these mountains!" and with that she turned on her heels and walked inside. I had been walking for 20 minutes straight and only come up with one clue chip off of a powder coated lollipop. I decided not to examine it until I went to take a rest, and kept climbing. A little while later I saw a corner of a blue piece of paper sticking out of two rocks. It looked like it had blown down from the top of the mountain. I plucked it up and skimmed it. My jaw fell opened. It was the mill’s blueprints. Now I was positive I was hot on the kidnapper’s trail. I walked on, determined to find the girls. It had been almost 40 minutes now and I was still walking. I was so tired I was hardly looking where I was going, so it was no wonder I tripped and fell flat on my face. I looked back to see the rock I tripped on, but it wasn’t a rock at all. I pulled a size 2 pink shoe from the crack. It belonged to Lorenzo’s daughter; it even had her name written on the top flap. These mountains were a goldmine of clues! I went and sat on a rock to get every thing straight in my mind. I pulled out all of my clues from my briefcase, and got out a magnifying glass to examine the lollipop. Just as I suspected, sleeping powder, to be exact 40 minute acting. I checked my watch 45 minutes had passed. I had been climbing for 45 minutes! I leaned back on the flat rock to think things over. As soon as my back hit the rock I felt something gooey, I turned to see what it was. Neon pink handprints! And they were still wet. There were little girls’ handprints and bigger handprints that must have been Larry’s. I whipped out my phone and dialed 911. I decided to let the police handle the kidnapper. After getting off the phone I sighed, the police brought up a good point. They probably wouldn’t be here for at least a half an hour. I would have to make sure the kidnapper didn’t leave. (Which was going to be hard because I couldn’t find the door to the hideout. it could be on the other side of the cave or on the other side of the mountain!) Lucky for me no one came out for about 20 minutes. So I only had to distract them for ten minutes. I saw the door open and a head popped out, looked around and then went back in. I stepped up to the door, briefcase in hand, and started knocking. They must have been waiting for the boss because Eve opened the door and without looking she yelled "BOSS!" Then, she looked at my face. Her eyes got big and she started to close the door, but my foot was already wedged in there. "Hello, ma’am" I said with a big fake grin on my face. "What do you want?" she asked curiously. "I’m selling things to kidnap little kids with!" I told her. She opened the door a bit more. "Oh, are you in that line of business?" I nodded my head yes. I showed her all the things I had in my pocket witch were a quarter, apiece of gum, and a feather. And to go with each idem I made up a story like a quarter can be used to lure the kid away and so on. she seemed interested. After a little while I heard a siren in the distance. "Oh, no the cops," she said franticly "we had better hide!" "Oh don’t worry about them their my friends just dressed up as cops, so no one suspects them to be kidnapers." "I’ve got to try that," she thought out loud. The cars pulled up just as Larry came out of the cave. I grabbed Eve’s shoulders. "You’re under arrest" I told her. "WHAT!" she yelled as the police started cuffing her. "Thanks Detective Owen, we’ve been looking for these guys for years!" "These guys? I thought she was the only one?" I pointed to Eve. Then the police officer explained to me that Larry was her sidekick NOT the victim. The duo got in the first car and started to drive away. I looked down at the two horror struck girls and I bent down and put on of the shoe I found on smallest girl’s foot. It looked like a scenes from Cinderella. Then we all got in the second car and drove down the mountain where the girls were rejoined with their father. It was a happy ending for everyone but eve and Larry who got sentenced to10 years in prison. "It looks like they’ve done a lot more bad stuff than I thought!"
