Zorro

Pancho Villa

As a boy, I remember watching the swashbuckling adventures of Zorro. I was fascinated with heroes and dreamed that I would become one someday.

Years later, my dream came true, sort of. I had planned on doing a Zorro film for a long time, but finally got around to doing it in September of 2001.

I chose the song "I Hate You, Then I Love You" by Celine Dion and Luciano Pavarotti. I imagined that with the combination of Zorro and Darla, that this film could be really funny.

The costume was fairly simple to put together. I already had the black hat and cape, and just added a black sash for a mask and wore black pants and a shirt.

When Zorro first appears in the film, he makes a large Z on the door with his sword.

In another scene, Zorro is singing, when he is rushed by the infamous Pancho Villa.

A battle begins as Zorro crosses swords with Pancho.

Zorro continues to sing of his love/hate relationship with Darla, and then kicks Pancho Villa, sending the villain spinning around and landing upon the ground.

Zorro opens the door and enters the room where Darla is laying upon the bed.

The film ends as Zorro hands Darla a rose, singing that he could never be in love with anyone but her.
