Nice butt, great hair, and an IQ of 175: An Inuyasha for the New Millennium

The Hero's Companion is now part of the Hero21 site. Click here to go to the Home Page, and then follow the links at the upper right of the screen. The funny stuff is at Diversions and the color pics are in the Gallery.

What is The Hero in the 21st Century?

It's an online fan comic based on Rumiko Takahashi's Inuyasha series, which has run in Japanese in Shounen Sunday Magazine since 1996 and in its own English-language comic, Inu-Yasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale, since 1997. The original Inuyasha story involves a quest by the title character, who is half human and half dog daemon, and his companion, Kagome Higurashi, a middle-school girl from modern Japan. As of February 2004 the story is still running, although it shows signs of winding down. (Mind you, I've been saying that for two years.) Because it's a quest tale, it presumably will have a definite endpoint (rather than being an ongoing series of episodes such as Superman, for example.)

We don't know what the ending will be. So we made one up. And now we're telling the story from there on.

I've got to think of something to do with this page. I'm considering making it a fanfiction/fanart site for people in their mid-teens and younger—the folks too young to hanging around the main Hero21 site. I'll keep you posted.
