I am a math tutor and teacher's assistant at Beulah Academy of Science. My career goal is to finish my degree in middle school math education. I want to help students to excel in math whether math is their strongest or weakest subject. I love the one on one time I get with the students as a teacher's assistant, but I feel that I would be a very successful teacher. My goal is to make all students feel confident while learning the necessary objectives that must be mastered in math.
I have been a math tutor for 3 years. Before this time, I helped many neighborhood children when they were having trouble in math. Math has always been my favorite subject, but until recently, I didn't know exactly what career choice I should make. Tutoring these neighborhood children helped me understand what I need to do in the future. I am currently working at Beulah Academy of Science as a math tutor and teacher's aide. I am also the
PTSA ( Parent, Teacher, Student, Association) President. This is my second year as the President of the
PTSA. I am very active in my sons' schools. I take caterpillars to my youngest son's school in caterpillar
boxes. The children get to see the miraculous change from the caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly.
I enjoy gardening. My main purpose for gardening is to attract hummingbirds and butterflies to my yard.
I place plants in my yard to attract the butterflies to feed and also lay their eggs. This is how I get the
caterpillars to share with my son's school. Many of the same plants also attract hummingbirds. I also
love to go fishing with my sons. I am also the taxi driver and cheerleader for my sons during baseball season.
