Pep Pepper inherited his parents' powers, his father, a strongman-acrobat, and his mother, a limited telepath, make him an incredible policeman, although, his telepathy isn't good when he's in the dark. His code-name comes from another ability which he has since young, a radar-like vision that permits him to see across vast distances.
Pep continues as a peacekeeper after the World War II is over. Radar appeared for the first time in Captain Marvel # 35 in 1944, but his adventures were later chronicled in Master Comics, who appeared from issue 50 through issue 87.
