Barely Legal Archives

The Barely Legal Section of PlaySims began in 1990. Founder Maxine Knight-Steele realized that there was a suprisingly growing market for this "category," and decided that it would be a fine addition to the already successful medium.

For 10 years, Barely Legal featured 2 girls aspiring to be Kittens. It was a tough position; they had to deliver the "goods" just as well as the Kittens, but were somewhat alienated from the group. Being a Barely Legal girl had its perks, but it also had its downside. Very few girls actually moved on to become Kittens. The astounding success of 1993's Barely Legal girl, Valentine Vanderbilt, gave many hope that there was a chance at stardom.

In 2000, Maxine Knight-Steele decided to broaden the horizons of the BL franchise. Now there were 4 girls permitted in the mansion, and the offer wad extended to any aspiring male models who hoped to reach "Claw" status. It wasn't until 2003 that the first Barely Leagal Boy appeared!

The Barely Legal Section has been a staple in PlaySims History! Sadly, in 2004, the section was pulled from the magazine's lineup as PlaySims seems to be heading in a different direction. There will no longer be any new Barely Legal Girls (or Boys), but you can enjoy the archives here! When possible, we will also feature updates with your favorite young models!
