WATF began in 1996 when Marilyn Lyon then Mayor of Rancho Palos Verdes  requested that the San Pedro Chamber representative and the Palos Verdes Chamber representative meet her at RPV City Hall. At the first meeting, Gordon Teuber and Larry Goldsmith were chosen as Co-Chairs.  WATF is a joint chamber activity rather than a government activity.

Homeowner associations, such as the San Pedro & Peninsula Homeowners Coalition, in and around Western Avenue wanted to know what was going on, so they are active members too.  Since the area is multi-jurisdictional, all government entities were invited as well as businesses. Our purpose is to act as a clearing house of information and as with any chamber activity  a place to network and have access with these various groups.

Unfortunately the group ended around 12/2002.........  Contact San Pedro Chamber of Commerce for information on starting it again.
