THE LEAD CHARACTERS

CANDRA (kan-dra) defines the word cute. Her tendency to babble may be annoying, but in a lovable sort of way. Candra is exceptionally polite ÒpleaseÓ and Òthank youÓ are integral parts of her vocabulary. Her first Òguardian spiritÓ experience occurs on the pilot episode; due to her lack of experience, she feels insecure. Paradoxically shy, little Candra is a true hero: courageous despite her fears. Her inner strength is not apparent at first, but she soon becomes Òthe mouse that roared!Ó And, in conquering her fears, she inspires children to do the same.

VALEN (Val-in) is a nerdy and kindhearted scholar, constantly on the cutting edge of discovery. His flawless memory of history and vast knowledge of science and the arts give him a unique perspective, making him an invaluable resource for the other Anam Caras. ValenÕs passion and excitement for learning is infectious. He speaks with a twinkle in his eye and a wag in his tail. He inspires children to love learning. And, because Valen sees the world through his rose-colored glasses, he radiates hope!

XMAAR (Ex-mar) is one cool dude. He chatters away in slang that he has picked up throughout the ages one minute medieval, the next 21st Century urban guerilla, etc. Mischievous Xmaar is a joy to be aroundÉmost of the time. No one has more fun than Xmaar as he innocently creates chaos while he helps children. In fact, his antics are infamous, but, thereÕs a method to his madness and in the long run, things always work out for the best!

MACALLA (Mah-CahlÕ-ah) is a super-hero spirit with a take-charge attitude. Her personality is as vibrant and colorful as her magical wings and luxurious long, flowing tail. Opinionated, feisty and intense, Macalla will risk the seemingly impossible to follow her heart. This is because she deeply loves the children entrusted to her. MacallaÕs magical wings have the power to transform human emotion. Even people who canÕt see her can often sense her presence when she flaps her magnificent wings!

PERI (Perry) is the Anam Cara to call on when a child needs a hug. SheÕs compassionate, touchy-feely and, at times, forgetful. Even on a mission, while the others are zooming back and forth through time and space, she rearranges furniture, brightens up rooms and tweaks the Feng Shui. Peri loves harmony and beauty. She doesnÕt differentiate between mankindÕs creations, gifts of the guardian spirits, or her dear friend, Mother Nature. Peri inspires children to make the world a more beautiful and loving place!

THE SUPPORTING CHARACTERS

DANò (Dan-ooÕ) is the Goddess of Bogha Bist’ (Gaelic: rainbow). Ethereal and luminous, Dan is both monarch and spiritual leader in the Land of Soul. In concert with the Spirit of Love, she rules the mystical otherworld with charity toward all and malice toward none. Her vision of Peace on Earth fuels the Anam CarasÕ mission. Through her inspiring philosophy and unifying rituals, Dan is the glue that holds the Anam Caras together.

NOEM (Noam), the wise sage, possesses the knowledge of the ages. Keeping in mind the needs of Mother Nature, the necessities of life on Earth (and throughout the other universes, great and small), Noem oversees the other Anam Caras as they go about their mission. HeÕs in charge of maintaining the delicate balance required for peace and harmony on Earth. When others become lost in details, he quietly contemplates the Òbig picture.Ó Noem is a philosopherÕs philosopher, respected by all and feared by none. When big, soft-spoken Noem speaks, every being listens.

ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS

MOTHER NATURE is all giving, to be sure, but beware her wrath when her gifts are abused, neglected or spurned. FAIRIES, POOKAS, LEPRECHAUNS and other mythological creatures from cultures all over the world will be incorporated into storylines. Plus, twenty more ANAM CARAS are waiting in the wings for their opportunity to stride the stage in aid of the children of our world.

Music from all over the world is an essential, integral ingredient of every episode. Anam Caras love to play music, sing and dance.
