Dennis Hermanson
DENNY'S DRAWING IN BIG TIME ART COLLECTION.
"New York Times feature, bought by Erwin Swann with perhaps 8 others, after kindly letting me visit his collection in NYC (private) and now, after his death, residing in the Library of Congressas the Caroline and Erwin Swann Collection of Caricature and Cartoon. This drawing was featured in the collections exhibition and catalog, Imagesof Nature and Circumstance. Circa '82", Den
Denny's odd interpertation of the human form in the Cloud days.

"A drawing in the Lampoon, and it was about body parts. ...something about declaring at customs new body parts put on in Asia. So actually, the grotesque quality of the guy is correct, TRUE! but strange."

(I believe this is Denny and Peter working together.)

"I think I did do the kid, it was a goof on Gareth or even Gareth drew it... I don't know. Most of it looks like peter. Why is the stove a separate style? The roaster thanksgiving goose is peter, of course."

More great graphics from denny in the "poon" days.
Denny says, "A page that I did for the Duck Comic...obviously, way out there...I am personally amazed at it still. Outre, to say the least, but very well executed Dodo... Jeez."

"And the other is for the Greed issue of Lampoon, the article was something like My Hearts in the Highlands..."

Bill Says,

"I really did love... and still love that great crazy drawing style Denny did! He was way ahead of his time! "

Peter Concurs.

On the left a (really crazed) drawing by Denny.
