        In the city Chernihiv the CYSS championship took place. Results of the competition can be viewed on the "Meet results" page.

        In the city Chernihiv the swimming pool "Avangard" championship, dedicated to the Iternational Women Day, took place. Results of the competition can be viewed on the "Meet results" page.
March 3, 2002
        A swim meet between the teams of the higher educational establishments of the Chernihiv region took place. Swim teams of Chernihiv State Technological University (CSTU), Chernihiv State Pedagogical University (CSPU) the faculty of physical education, Chernihiv State Pedagogical University united team of all other faculties, Chernihiv institute of economy and management (CIEM), Nizhyn State Pedagogical University (NSPU) and Nizhyn State Agrarian Institute (NSAI) took part in the swim meet.
        Swimmers swam 50 m freestyle, 4x50 m freestyle relay and 4x50 m medley relay. The First place took the team of CSPU the faculty of physical education, Second place took the team of CIEM, Third place took the team of CSTU.

        In the city Chernihiv the CYSS championship, dedicated to the Day of the Defender of the Motherland, took place. Results of the competition can be viewed on the "Meet results" page.
February 14 - 17, 2002
        Oleg Lysogor's (A World Champion and Record holder) Invitational Swim Meet was held in the city Brovary. Swim teams from Belarus, Moldova and cities of Ukraine: Brovary, Kiev, Dnipropetrovs'k, Slavutych, Chernihiv and Bila Tserkva took part in it. Chernihiv swim team consisted of Krot Stanislav, Gun'ko Dmytro, Fursa Vitaliy, Kurtov Kostyantyn, Kulinich Katerina. February 6 - 7, 2002
        Open Winter Championship "Veseliy Delphin" ("Fun Dolphin") was held in the city Dnipropetrovsk in the swimming pool "Meteor" (SC Meters). Chernihiv swim team from the Children's Youthfull Sports School (CYSS) took part in the competitions. The swim team consisted of Alina Yatsenko, Olena Shpak, Olena Mikerina, Oleksiy Sozontov, Roman Galagan, Dmitro Paladenko. Best results showed Alina Yatsenko, who took the 4th place on 50m back, and Oleksiy Sozontov, who took the 5th place on 50 back. January 13, 2002
         Kyiv Region Championship among "veterans" (swimmers of age from 30 to 60 and older) was held in the city Brovari. Swimmers of Chernihiv also took part in it. Chernihiv swim team consisted of Lyubov Sizukh, Eduard Tkach, Stanislav Krot, Mykola Prymachenko, Vadim Kirichenko. They all took either 1st, 2nd or 3rd places.
December 7, 2001
         All-Ukrainian swim meet was held in the city Zhitomyr. Chernihiv swimmers from the Children's Youthful Sports School (CYSS) took part in it. Best results showed Katerina Kulinich, who took two 2nd places. Oleksandra Dovbenko was 3rd on 100 fly. The Chernihiv swim team overall took the 3rd place.
         But really good results showed Chernihiv "veterans'" (swimmers of age from 30 to 60 and older) swim team. They all took the 1st place. Their swim team consisted of Lyubov Sizukh, Eduard Tkach, Stanislav Krot, Mykola Prymachenko, Vadim Kirichenko.
