After the Skrull Invasion, the Thunderbolts Initiative has drastically changed. The Thunderbolts are now a covert squad of black ops agents answering directly to Norman Osborn. Norman Osborn will fire and secretly execute any member of the new team who makes mistakes or becomes insubordinate. Now the Thunderbolts have become a shadow of their former self. No longer a true group of heroes, but a personal hit squad of Norman Osborn. One of their first missions as a hitsquad for Norman Osborn is killing Deadpool after he tried to blackmail Osborn.
