A lineman for New York's largest power company, Maxwell Dillon was struck by a bolt of lightning while holding electrical lines still connected to their spool. By a strange chance of fate, Dillon survived and was physically altered to where he was not only immune to the effects of electricity, but could control it as if it were a part of his body. Never one for much imagination or ethics, Dillon decided to use his newfound abilities as the deadly criminal called Electro.
