One of the questions most frequently asked by Egyptologists:
Why are the oldest pyramids different heights?
All previously known measurements (i.e. those given in meters) are from the Encyclopedia Britannica, 15th edition. The Egyptian measurements (all those given in cubits) and their significance are entirely my own.
1. The linear unit of measurement, called the cubit, used to build the early pyramids, was equal to 21.47454545 inches. As far as I know, this has not been known to anyone for thousands of years.
2. The height of the early pyramids represented the age of the pharaoh buried in it, to the nearest month. Ditto above comment.
3. Generally speaking, the higher the pyramid, the older it is. This is because all the great pyramids were built at a time when man's lifespan was being shortened each generation, as documented in Genesis.
4. The pharaoh called Khufu (Greek, Cheops) (pyramid 146.59 meters high = 3224.98 twelfths of a cubit) lived 3225 months or 268 years and 9 months.
5. The pharaoh called Khafre (pyramid 143.50 meters high = 3157.000000 twelfths of a cubit = 3157 months) lived 263 years and 1 month.
6. The pharaoh called Sneferu-a (pyramid 104 meters high = 2288.000000 twelfths of a cubit = 2288 months) lived 190 years and 8 months.
7. The pharaoh called Sneferu (pyramid 98 meters high = 2156.000000 twelfths of a cubit = 2156 months) lived 179 years and 8 months.
8. The pharaoh called Nefirirkare (pyramid 70 meters high = 1540.000000 twelfths of a cubit = 1540 months) lived 128 years and 4 months.
9. The pharaoh called Menkure (Menkaure, etc.) (pyramid 66.50 meters high = 1463.000000 twelfths of a cubit) lived 121 years and 11 months.
10. The king called Zoser (Djoser, Joser) (pyramid 60 meters high = 1320.000000 twelfths of a cubit) lived 110 years.
The reader may demonstrate for himself that all invariant early pyramid measurements, inside and out of the pyramids, are exact integers of 21.47454545 inches, or with very simple fractions as remainders.
Installment Nº2.
11. Many years ago (1986) I discovered that the hieroglyphs for Zoser (Djoser, Joser) are misread. They should read Joseph. This is the same Joseph who was sold into Egypt by the Midianites.
12. I also knew from the Greek and Egyptian etymology of the word Pyramid, that it referred to the height of the structure, and not the structure itself.
13. And from a translation of the original hieroglyphs, I also knew that the significance of the height was the lifespan of the pharaoh or king buried in the structure.
14. The original language and those immediately descended from it used several writing systems simultaneously. In this writing system, each character had several sounds and meanings. In later generations, each derivative language inherited only one sound and one meaning, thus losing most of the power of expression.
15. One example of this is the root BEL which in all Romance languages means "beautiful" and in all Slavic languages means "white." The original language had both meanings.
16. Another example is the root MAL which in Romance languages means "bad, evil" and in the Slavic is "small, little, few." The original character had both meanings.
17. Yet another example is the simplified hieroglyph in Phoenician, P. The Greeks took its sound as R, the Latins as P. The original hieroglyph carried both sounds simultaneously, but separated into levels or degrees governed by certain logical rules which made ambiguity impossible.
18. It is this hieroglyph, represented in Egyptian as the mouth, having this characteristic, which should be read PH rather than R, as mentioned above.
19. Ask any Egyptologist what the word Pharaoh means and he will tell you "great house." This is a false etymology which did not arise until a thousand years later, and the PER AA they map this word onto actually refers to the pharaoh's estate, not to the pharaoh or any person at all.
20. Egyptologists will tell you that the oldest name for Egyptian rulers was ERPAT or ERPA and means hereditary king. This is partly right. The three hieroglyphs should be read PHA RA OH and should be translated (the hieroglyph called the mouth) as PHA = king, cognate with what Sumerologists call PA = the head, ruler, etc. as in PATESI. The second hieroglyph that looks like a small square should be in this case rendered RA and means "royal." The third hieroglyph, the outstretched hand, forearm, and part of the arm, should be rendered OH and means "blood" in this instance. Thus, what is incorrectly read as ERPA(T) should be read PHA RA OH, "king by royal blood."
21. The four hieroglyphs running down each side of the false door inside Joseph's tomb, which are commonly called his Horus name or something of the sort, and merely transliterated with no meaning, each have separate meanings.
22. The first character which is sometimes called an axe by Egyptologists, is correctly rendered NETER but may also be read in the opposite direction, as can many characters. In this sense it carries the idea of saving and is preserved in the German RETTEN, "to save."
23. The second character, the mouth, we already know, should be pronounced PHA and means "king."
24. The third character, usually represented by a guttural sound, should be transliterated HAMET and means The Land of Ham, i.e., Egypt.
25. The last character, which looks like several vertical lines, and is usually misread "BIT" should be rendered JOSEPH.
26. The correct translation of the four hieroglyphs is The King who saved Egypt, Joseph.
27. Notice that Joseph is not called a pharaoh, because as far as the Egyptians were concerned, although he was king, it was not by royal blood as they recognized it, since he was not even of their race, but he was rather what we would call a Viceroy.
28. The reason why the Egyptian records say the tomb has been vacant for thousands of years should be obvious - Moses brought his coffin out to be buried with his ancestors as he had requested.
29. And the reason why the tomb is precisely 110 Egyptian cubits should be obvious.
30. The well-known Egyptian "fairy tale" called The Tale of the Two Brothers is indeed a fairy tale the way it is translated. It is in fact the original Egyptian account of Joseph while in Potiphar's service when translated correctly.
31. The hieroglyph for the servant, incorrectly read as Batau by some, is exactly the same as that in Joseph's pyramid, which should be translated Joseph.
32. The hieroglyphs transliterated SEN AA and translated "elder brother" are an idiomatic expression precisely equivalent to the Chinese characters (Hsien Sheng or similar transliteration) of the same meaning, and are not to be translated "first born" but rather "master."
33. The characters transliterated SEN SERIU and translated "younger brother" are an analogous idiom and should be translated "servant."
34. There are countless other ancient records which reveal a great deal of information which the world has not had for thousands of years because they have not been translated correctly.
35. The original language can only be translated correctly and completely by one who has a working knowledge of the 72 languages into which it was split up at the Tower of Babel, because each one retained vital parts which must be reassembled to restore the original matrix of sounds and meanings which each character had in the beginning.
36. Count them for yourself. They are listed in Genesis Chapter 10.
37. Back in 1987 I discovered that the so-called "Paut Khemennu" or Company of the Eight is in fact, Noah and his family.
38. NU is of course, Noah, and NUT his wife.
39. The others are more subtle but can be demonstrated: KEKU is SHEM.
40. HEHU is HAM.
41. And GEREKH is JAPHETH, each of the four with his female counterpart (wife) denoted by the same name, with a feminine suffix.
42. The boat is of course the Ark,
43. And the "primeval watery abyss of NU" is the Flood.
44. And the whole set of hieroglyphs is not a representation of the Egyptian notion of the Creation, but a simple and obvious representation of the Flood.
45. The hieroglyph of the beetle represents the body of Adam carried aboard the Ark.
46. The Gilgamesh epic, if it were translated correctly, would turn out to be an actual historical account of Noah.
47. Gilgamesh is not a proper name, nor is it read correctly. It was common practice to write a character in the opposite direction as a way of doing the equivalent of what we call capitalization for proper names.
58. The correct reading of Gilgamesh is Gilga-Shem.
59. The correct translation of Gilgamesh is "The father of Shem."
60. I have never seen or heard of a correct chronology of events of early world history. I will present one below as soon as time permits, from Adam down to Joshua, which is exactly correct.
Installment Nº3
61. I should point out that the reason for the quorum of Seventy mentioned in the NT is based upon the 70 nations, kindreds, tongues, and peoples into which the world was divided after the Flood, as mentioned in Genesis 10. This is not my discovery, but was pointed out to me some 45 years ago by my mother’s sister, Ruth Pate Shinsel.
62. It should be obvious that the legend of the Septuagint - the translation of the Hebrew scriptures into Greek a few hundred years B.C. - was not at all done “by seventy scholars in seventy days” which is a ridiculous fabrication of an imaginative mind, but was rather called the Septuagint - “the Seventies Book” - because, having been translated into the lingua franca of the world at that time, it was to go to all peoples of the earth (70 of them) by the Seventy (the missionaries).
My plan was to do these installments in four parts -
1. List my discoveries over the last sixty years as they happened to come to mind, not in any particular order or according to any particular plan.
2. Go through all existing translations of all ancient records (“ancient” being defined for this purpose, as more than 3,000 years old) and correct them.
3. Translate all ancient records in my possession for which I am not aware of any existing translation (I have a stack several feet high of copies of Egyptian hieroglyphic, hieratic, and Sumerian cuneiform records collected from museums and private collections all over the world).
4. Write up a complete grammar and dictionary of the original language. The original language has the capability both to store and transfer more information than any modern language or all of them put together, and is far easier to learn than any language on the earth today because everything is mnemonic and precisely logical - like an elegant mathematical proof, once the principles are understood, it can be easily memorized, and if forgotten, derived.
One of my dear classmates brought up the subject of chronology, so for him I present this week the chronology of the Pentateuch below. I have never seen a correct chronology, so I present mine. I know that in time to come it will be proven as correct; it is not based on any speculation, theory, or conjecture, but on provable fact from my translations of ancient records. Typographical errors are of course possible, because I do my own typing.

49. All sightings of Noah’s Ark on Mount Ararat are false.
50. The Egyptian records - translated correctly - say that the Egyptians put the Ark on a sledge and brought it down and stored it in a warehouse in Egypt.
51. Once a year, the Ark was brought out and dragged through the streets of the city in a great festival celebrating deliverance from the Flood by the Almighty through the medium of the Ark.
52. The “gopher” wood mentioned in Genesis, of which the Ark was made, is a transliteration, not a translation, of the original Egyptian word.
53. The wood of which the Ark was made is the ancestor of what we would call Douglas Fir.
54. It is for this reason that the ancient German tribes would cut down a fir tree “Tannenbaum” at the winter solstice and bring it into the house and decorate it - in commemoration of this tree saving the world from the Flood, and as a token that life goes on and the world will be relieved of its winter shroud with the spring thaw, just as the Flood waters also receded.
By request, I will next present below a Bible Dictionary, or Dictionary of the Scriptures, translating terms that, as far as I have been able to determine, have never previously been translated correctly. These will be given in the order they occur in the original text, rather than alphabetically, but you can always search for any given term using the search tool.
Installment Nº4.
I now present a list of translations of words, mostly proper nouns, occurring in Holy Writ, which, as far as I know, have never been translated, or never been translated correctly. They are given in the order in which they occur.
A Dictionary of the Scriptures: Bible Dictionary: Dictionary of the Old Testament.
55. Eden: I am indebted to Rabbi Joshua Seixas [pronounced SAY-shus], a Portuguese Jew, for the only correct transliteration of the Hebrew letter Ayin that I have ever seen [J. Seixas, Hebrew Grammar, 1834, p.p. 5-6]. I first saw his book some forty years ago back in the 1960s and immediately checked every Hebrew grammar in the BYU library -several dozen in seven languages going back to the 1500s, and none of them had the same system of transliteration as Rabbi Seixas, which I have proved to myself countless times over, is the only correct one, namely, GN at the beginning of a syllable, and NG and the ending of one. The correct transliteration of "Eden" is GNADEN. It means a place of grace, as any German scholar will immediately recognize, and Garden of the Lord, as any Hebrew scholar will immediately see [GAN ADON]. Cf. Isaiah 51:3.
56. Adam: a name applied to both the first man and his wife, as well as to the man alone when distinguished from his wife. It is composed of two expressions, each composed of two hieroglyphs. The two terms, AD AM, are precisely analogous to their Chinese equivalents, FU MU, and mean respectively, father-mother, or in other words, parents.
57. It is known to any Hebraist that "adam" is also used as a generic term for man, men, or all mankind. What is not commonly known is that the term is the same as the word commonly rendered "MADA" by semitic scholars and translated as "many" - once again, I repeat my observation that reversing the direction of the character was a common way of indicating a proper noun as we do with capitalization, and the character should be read ADAM.
58. The first term, AD, is written as the character for a hand, followed by a character meaning a creature. It forms a job description of all fathers: A. Provide-person. B. Protect-person. C. Possess-person (many civilizations have been so primitive as to confine property ownership to males). D. Strong-person.
59. The second term, AM, written as the character for increase/decrease plus the character for grain or seed. It means: A. consume-grain, and B. multiply-seed. The first meaning is the common suffix in the original language for all land mammals, i.e. they all have mammary glands and are herbivores. As will be demonstrated in a much later installment, this is also written -OM.
60. Eve: This word, along with Jehovah, is precisely analogous to the Egyptian Isis and Iusir [Greek, Osiris] respectively.
61. Eve is written in the original language with characters analogous to our HVH except that in the original language, every character had a matrix of meanings. The character analogous to our H in this example meant a time or a season. Every Hebraist knows that the V was a mere copula, "and." The Egyptian Isis is of exactly the same meaning and is often represented as SEP SEN ("two times" or "twice" and has been taken by Egyptologists as a direction to repeat the previous sentence or phrase. The correct translation of Eve and of Isis is "times and seasons," a term for the first mother, and a generic term for all mothers.
62. Likewise, Jehovah and Iusir should be correctly translated as "the Appointer of times and seasons."
63. Cherubim: the warrior class of angels. This is preserved in the Arabic HARB as any Arabic scholar knows.
64. Shem: Sun, son, birth. Preserved in the Babylonian SHAMASH, sun, and the Egyptian MESH, birth.
65. Ham: Servant, death, star. Preserved in the Hebrew Met (death), Egyptian Ham (servant), etc.
66. Japheth: Stranger or foreigner, healing or marriage, moon. More obvious in its Egyptian form GEREKH which is preserved as the Hebrew word for "stranger" or "foreigner." An alternate reading is Oleah, an old word for the moon. Hebraists generally cite Jafa, "the fair one" which is an allusion to the moon.
67. The layman may find evidence that Sun, Moon, and Star are correct translations from the fact that the previously cited Paut Khemmenu was thought to be the Egyptian mythology of the Creation because it mentioned the Sun, Moon, and Stars, which are in fact correct partial translations of these names, as already mentioned.
68. A complete translation of these names as understood by the ancients would indicate that the posterity of Shem were born in a covenant by which they would keep the law of chastity from birth and thereby receive an inheritance in a kingdom compared to the sun.
69. Japheth in full translation indicates a covenant by which they would keep the law of chastity from marriage and thereby receive an inheritance in a kingdom compared to the moon.
70. Ham in full translation indicates a covenant by which they would do no murder (death) and be responsible for their own sins until death, by which they would receive at least an inheritance in a kingdom compared to the stars.
71. Note that these covenants are alluded to in the New Testament "now ye are no longer strangers and foreigners …" and that it is made perfectly clear that what really matters is not what a man has covenanted that he would do, but what law he actually chooses to live by once he gets here (cf. the parable of the two sons being asked to go labor in the field).
72. Gopher: It has already been mentioned that this is a transliteration of the Egyptian hieroglyph (Käfer) which is represented by the beetle hieroglyph, and which any German scholar will immediately recognize as the word for beetle in present-day German, and which Egyptologists correctly translate as "creation" but should more accurately be translated as "the first creation, i.e. Adam" when applied to a person, and when applied to a wood or material, signified the wood of which the Ark was made, which was as already mentioned, the wood of the fir tree.
73. "I do set my bow in the cloud" (Gen. 9:13). Everyone knows this is the rainbow. I have heard attempts to explain this by saying that the rainbow always existed and it was merely picked out as a token of the covenant. From my physics background, I suggest that rainbows are an attribute of solar radiation, and that there was at the time in question, a change in the nature of solar radiation, which created the rainbow. This explanation may be tested by attempting to create a rainbow with artificial lighting. See if you can do it.
Installment Nº5
78. It will now become evident to a thoughtful person that the token of the house of Shem is gold, representing the morning aurora heralding the birth of the sun.
79. Likewise, the token of the house of Japheth is frankincense, a healing balm.
80. By now the reader can fill in the third part and final part of the pattern with the embalming myrrh as the token of the house of Ham.
81. The best commentary of the New Testament I have ever seen is Frederic Farrar’s (1831-1903) Life of Christ (1874). It is not so much that Farrar is unusually perceptive or insightful as that he is simply more honest than most scholars. He faithfully cites original sources whether he knows enough to agree with them or not. Immediately when I started reading his book I began to recognize the source of information I had heard all my life, but for which he was never given adequate credit for citing. With his citations of the early church fathers concerning the “three wise men” combined with my own translations of ancient records, it became evident that what I had thought were mere fabrications of inventive minds - such as the very names of the magi, and so on - are documentable, provable, historical fact. There were three men, each one a rightful royal heir of the respective houses of Japheth, Shem, and Ham, who came to pay homage in behalf of all of us, to the Holy One of Israel.
82. There is a very foolish saying abroad that goes "There's no limit to how much good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit." I have always known that you never get the facts right, or get a correct understanding, unless you go to the source, and you can not go to the source unless you know what it is.
I was pleased to find in the 9th edition of the Britannica I am reading, a confirmation of this fact by no less an authority than the great mathematical genius, James Clerk Maxwell, who, in a happy arrangement, wrote an article on another world class genius, Michael Faraday:
"The magnitude and originality of Faraday's achievement may be estimated by tracing the subsequent history of his discovery. As might be expected, it was at once made the subject of investigation by the whole scientific world, but some of the most experienced physicists were unable to avoid mistakes in stating, in what they conceived to be more scientific language than Faraday's the phenomena before them. Up to the present time [1875, citing back to 1841] the mathematicians who have rejected Faraday's method of stating his law as unworthy of the precision of their science have never succeeded in devising any essentially different formula which shall fully express the phenomena without introducing hypotheses about the mutual action of things which have no physical existence, such as elements of currents which flow out of nothing, then along a wire, and finally sink into nothing again.
"After nearly half a century of labour of this kind, we may say that, though the practical applications of Faraday's discovery have increased and are increasing in number and value every year, no exception to the statement of these laws as given by Faraday has been discovered, no new law has been added to them, and Faraday's original statement remains to this day the only one which asserts no more than can be verified by experiment, and the only one by which the theory of the phenomena can be expressed in a manner which is exactly and numerically accurate, and at the same time within the range of elementary methods of exposition." [EB 9th edition vol. IX, p. 30].
83. There is nothing more obvious than these two principles, which I have always believed to be correct, and at this late stage I may say that I know with a perfect knowledge that they are correct: In order to comprehend the laws of nature, we must live by the laws of nature's God over a long period of time, and we must in every case go to the source of any discovery, or we will never get it right.
84. Here’s another example: The greatest genius I have found in the last 150 years is Henry Ford, notwithstanding the abominable accounts of him in the encyclopedias, and I can say that no man knows him without having read his three books, My Life and Work (1921), Today and Tomorrow (1926), and Moving Forward (1931) in which he lays down all the correct principles of business, education, self improvement, research and development, and he even gets to the bottom of the cause and origin of wars and other self-inflicted calamities, etc. All of these books are currently available, but to our great discredit, not in America, but only from a London publisher of "rare and mystical reprints."
85. There are many who suppose that plagiarism is not a big deal, but the truth is, such persons actually know less than nothing, and actually subtract from the fund of human knowledge. No man can plagiarize without garbling, and in seeking to hide the source of his thefts, he prevents those he claims to teach from learning the whole truth, or understanding the principle in question. This is especially true of translations. Nothing in the world is more difficult than translating what has never before been translated correctly, yet nothing is more quickly assumed to belong to everybody.
86. Genesis 9:27. “God shall enlarge Japheth …” Some forty years ago I discovered that this should be translated “God shall make Japheth capable of being persuaded …”
87. Genesis 21:30 " …I have digged this well.” Independent Egyptian records, which we shall examine in future installments, state that Abraham had developed technology to determine the presence of water deep underground.
88. Gen. 35:7. The ancients used the language of Adam like we use Latin and Greek today, as a naming convention. Although fragments are preserved in Hebrew, all of Jacob’s children’s names are in the original language.
89. The name Joseph, in complete translation, means: 1. The holy one. 2. One who is consecrated and set apart; separated. The posterity of Joseph have always been separated, usually on an island, from others. 3. The red one. 4. The western one. 5. The glorious one. At some future time I will give the complete translations of the other eleven names, each of which describes in detail the attributes of the respective tribes.
90. Gen. 37:3. “.. he made him a coat of many colours.” Some have speculated that this should be translated “long-sleeved.” A correct translation of the original terms describes a sleeveless tunic, or vest, such as forms part of the traditional dress of Scots today.
91. From other historical sources it may be demonstrated that the “many colours” were not a silly patchwork quilt, but a plaid or tartan on a red (“Joseph”) background. As Jacob understood from the Tower of Babel, each color represented a nation or tribe, a tradition preserved among all nations, and conspicuous in the Celtic tartans. Only royalty was entitled to wear all the colors, with progressively fewer colors being permitted according to the lower social status of one’s clan, another well-documented fact in early Irish law. By having such a coat made for his penultimate son, Jacob was effectively acknowledging a prophetic destiny of royalty for him, which was perfectly understood by his other sons; hence the unbounded jealousy of his brothers. Joseph’s coat was in fact the origin of what has been known for several hundred years as the royal Stewart tartan. It is no coincidence that many Scots claim, and some can document, descent from Joseph of Egypt.
92. Gen. 37:28 “… and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver …” This is a scribal error, which may be checked in other ancient records. It should read thirty pieces of silver, the price of a slave, and was recognized by the ancients as a type and a shadow of the betrayal of the Messiah.
93. Gen. 41:45. Zaphnath-paaneah does not mean anything in any language. This is a scribal error, untranslatable as it stands. The correct transliteration is given by Josephus in Antiquities of the Jews. From his correct transliteration it is easy to translate the hieroglyphs as “the revealer of hidden things.”
94. Gen. 47:9 “… few and evil have been the days of the years of my life …” The first three words are a single Egyptian hieroglyph, the well-known sparrow, PW, the ancestor of the English word few, French peu, as well as, with the transformations already mentioned, the Slavic “mal” and Latin “mal” and English “small.” This is one of many indications that, no surprise, Moses translated his record into Hebrew from original accounts written in Egyptian hieroglyphics.
95. I have never been able to detect that anyone has been able to discover the correct original writing and etymology of the name Moses. The meaning has been handed to us on a silver platter, but how was it written? Some forty years ago I made a thorough search and was not able to discover any scholar able to write it. It is written with two Egyptian hieroglyphs - the three wavy lines representing “water” and pronounced “MU” written over the single hieroglyph for Isis - MU - ISIS. Everyone knows that it means delivered of the water, but now you can recognize it when you find it in the hieroglyphs.
96. Gen. 50:26. “… and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.:” I already mentioned that this coffin was placed in the tomb scholars call “Zoser’s”. And you know why it is precisely 110 Egyptian cubits high. And you know why the Egyptian records say that it has been vacant for thousands of years. Moses took the coffin with the Israelites for re-interment in the cave with Abraham.
97. It is obvious from a reading of Josephus, that the records from which the Bible was taken were more extensive in his day than have been handed down to us. Much of this missing information will be recovered by translating additional, independent, ancient records, which we will do as time permits.
At this point, I see that I should not promise any longer to keep these installments to a single page as I had originally hoped. From the feedback I have received, it seems to me that those who believe the Bible - and the Bible certainly does not need any help from me to prove its authenticity and authority - are generally very appreciative of my meager contributions, and those who take offense at my discoveries are generally those who never did believe the Bible, by their own choice. It seems I am in good company with that grand old Book that, as my mother used to say, “fell apart holding us together.” I will impose upon your patience for one more contribution to this installment, made by my mother over half a century ago:
“Family Bible
“Old Brother Higgins built a shelf
For the Family Bible to rest itself.
Lest a sticky finger or grimy thumb
Might injure the delicate pages some,
He cautioned his children to touch it not,
And it rests there still with never a blot …
(And the Higgins tribe are a careless lot.)
“His neighbor, Miggins, built a shelf.
‘Come, children,’ he said, ‘and help yourself.’
Now his book is old and ragged and worn,
With some of the choicest pages torn
Where children have fingered and thumbed and read;
But of Miggins’ children I’ve heard it said
That each carries a Bible in his head.”
- Gleanings, (c) 1948, Ora Pate Stewart [1910-1990], Naylor Publishing Company, San Antonio, Texas, p. 4.
98. The most valuable part of the entire Old Testament is Exodus 20:3-17. Why? It has already been noted that it is necessary to abide by the laws of nature’s God in order to comprehend the laws of nature. The laws of nature must be the object of a lifetime of observation and experiment, yet the infinitely more valuable laws of God are handed to us on a silver platter. Other reasons why this is so valuable are cited below.
99. All temptation is based upon deception.
100. All of the holy commandments are based upon an Intelligence superior to man’s.
101. There is no upper limit to intelligence.
102. It is only by living the commandments over a long period of time that the intelligence upon which they are based can begin to be assimilated. Thomas Edison noted that no physics text, however thorough, could impart the knowledge gleaned by actually performing the experiment. Somehow, he said, even the most astute and careful writers would leave out some very basic information that could only be gleaned by performing the experiment. Henry Ford understood this and designed training which duplicated the experiments as a training tool.
103. Anyone can immediately note that the Ten Commandments are divided into three categories, and that both the categories and the members of these three sets are strictly prioritized. What is not noticed is that each one is based upon a higher level of intelligence than the previous one in each category.
104. No man can comprehend a commandment that he does not keep, any more than a physics student can comprehend all that is to be understood from an experiment without actually performing it, claims to the contrary notwithstanding.
105. Not many people have a correct idea of intelligence. The historian Crowe had the insight and discernment to describe a ruler as having “imbecility, dissoluteness, ferocity, mutual hate, intellect never reaching higher than cunning, with a religion that was the fetishism of a savage rather than the creed of a rational being” [EB 9th ed., vol. 9, p. 84]. Any rational person may visit any prison in any country and immediately recognize the intellectual dregs of that country. For example, a person who does not keep the sixth commandment has his mind darkened to the point of being indistinguishable from idiocy. Such a person may seriously believe that the space program is nothing more than a government hoax, that a man was never placed on the moon, etc.
106. A person who keeps the sixth commandment is more intelligent than one who does not. A person who does not keep the seventh commandment typically believes in things which a rational being instantly recognizes as absurd - the notion that matter can be created out of nothing, that matter can take upon itself life and intelligence of its own accord by pure accident, notwithstanding the fact that such cannot be done under the most carefully controlled laboratory conditions.
107. Taking a view of the Holy Writ as a whole, in addition to the ancient Egyptian and Sumerian records, it is evident that there are three kingdoms of reward in the hereafter, call in the NT the Telestial, Terrestrial, and Celestial, representing respectively the glory (or light, or intelligence) of the stars, the moon, and the sun. What is not obvious is that each of these kingdoms has three internal divisions. Commandments seven, eight, and nine correspond to the lower, middle, and upper division of the Telestial.
108. Therefore we see that the Ten Commandments may be considered a graded set of experiments for us to perform strictly, while in mortality, so that we may rise to the intelligence upon which they are based, and the glory which their strict compliance confers upon us.
109. Expressed in another way, the Decalogue is a ladder with ten rungs by which we may aspire to rise to greater heights than unaided mortal intelligence can confer upon us.
110. All scriptures may be understood by translating them into the language of Adam, and when that grammar and dictionary is given here, all of these explanations will no longer be necessary, but will be obvious to anyone.
111. It may be truly said that those who do not conform their lives to the laws of nature’s God are idiots. The correlation is so great, in fact, that a lifetime of experience will confirm that unprincipled cunning is no match for ethical intellect. For this reason, it is a very, very bad idea to admit those who reject any responsibility for learning and abiding by the laws of nature’s God to teach us about the laws of His nature. For this reason, we have the absurd religion of organic evolution forced down our throats, even though all our physics proves emphatically it not only is not so, but there is no possibility of it being so. It is for this reason that we have been commanded by such persons to accept their hypothesis of “black holes” in space - notwithstanding the fact that such entities are physically impossible, for the simple reason that although the gravitational force is one of the weakest in nature and can only approach a measurable magnitude when immense bodies of matter are brought together, while the internal forces of subatomic matter are by far - billions of times greater - than gravitational forces. Yet we are asked to believe that matter can be heaped up in piles so great as to overcome this powerful repulsion force which is responsible for our nuclear bombs.
112. In Einstein’s “e = mc squared” it is not matter that is converted into energy, neither indeed can it be. It is binding energy that is released.
113. Notwithstanding the excellency of intellect upon which the Ten Commandments are based, we see that a lifetime of strict compliance with them is not sufficient to rise above the intellectual level or glory of the Terrestrial Kingdom. How do we know this? In the NT we read that one who had done just this came to the Savior and asked what he lacked yet, as you may recall. He was told by the Master than he had not done his part in caring for the world’s poor, and that without that compliance, there is no admission in the Celestial Kingdom. In the OT and NT this is called the Law of Tithes and Consecration; that is, a man must care for the poor, and be willing to give his all for the cause of Right if it is so required. Interestingly, all of the signers of the American Declaration of Independence recognized the necessity of living up to this law, and fully complied with it. Nothing less would have secured the blessings of liberty for us, for which, we must be forever grateful to them and to the soldiers which to this day give “their last full measure of devotion” as Lincoln called it.
114. So great is this correlation that it reveals itself in the level of understanding of those who keep it. Near the end of my nine years in the intelligence community of the American Defense Department, I was attempting to explain a matter of national security to my division chief and his civilian assistant. The chief was a lieutenant colonel, and his deputy had a Ph.D. in physics. The colonel understood perfectly what I was saying, but the physicist did not get it at all. Afterwards, I poked my head into the colonel’s office and said, “Col. --, may I ask you a personal question?” “Go ahead.” “You pay tithing to your church, don’t you!” “I can’t afford not to.” “Do you know how I knew that? Because you understood perfectly what I was trying to say about our national security.” The darkened minds of those who do wrong is the cause of their own destruction. They believe things that are not so, and disbelieve things that are so. This is true of individuals as well as nations. This was portrayed quite well in the recent Episode Three of the popular Star Wars series.
115. Another example: A person who keeps the fourth commandment and all the others which are even more basic, over a long period of time begins to understand the commandment: why cycles have eternal attributes. Einstein spent his life trying to find a Universal Field Theory, namely, a set of mathematical equations which would be used to describe both subatomic phenomena and the behavior of planets and stars. He could not do it. Yet, Abraham succeeded in doing this not only quantitatively but qualitatively. The false science of numerology seeks to find attributes of numbers, which is absurd. Numbers do not and can not have attributes other than that of mere magnitude, and even then, have no meaning except when applied to time, space, and matter. Everyone knows that an atom of carbon differs from an atom of nitrogen essentially only in the fact that it has six protons in its nucleus instead of seven. But why? A person who has had long experience in executing a cycle of seven by keeping the Sabbath day holy begins to comprehend that this letting go of daily work every seventh day has a liberating, releasing, freeing effect upon his whole being. The great, grand secret that Abraham discovered is that a given cycle has the same attributes, whether through time or space. That is, a cycle of seven days has, in its sphere of time, the same attributes of a cycle of seven protons in the nucleus of the nitrogen atom. The attributes of nitrogen in its compounds is to set free, to release, or to knock down a wall, whether the wall of a city with nitroglycerine or the wall of a cell with nitric acid, or the release of gases in a reaction with another substance. He begins to comprehend that Joshua, in executing a cycle of seven around the city Jericho, was conferring upon those city walls the same attributes it would have as if someone had put nitric acid on its joints and nitroglycerine on its stones. After completion of the requisite cycles, a high amplitude acoustical disturbance was sufficient to make the walls crumble. Likewise, the Syrian general was released from his leprosy by immersing himself seven times in the Jordan river as commanded. A person who faithfully keeps this commandment and all the subordinate ones begins to understand that all mortal life as we know it requires a cycle of three within a cycle of eight, that is, a cycle of solidity as possessed by lithium, within a cycle of purification necessary to sustain life, which we know as oxygen. He comprehends that the other seven planets of this system (Pluto was known by the ancients to be a dead, nonfunctioning planet, just as the body of Adam on Noah’s ark) all serve functions absolutely necessary to maintain life on this third planet.
116. Likewise, the Savior administered to Peter the sign of Jonah, which is, two or three witnesses, or a thing repeated three times, as a prelude to His commandment to administer this same token to all the world.
117. Now it should be obvious why circumcision was administered at eight days, baptism at eight years, and why a great cycle of purification (i.e. times five) was administered to the Israelites leaving Egypt and was preserved down to the time of the Italian city states with their quarantine of vessels from foreign ports to ensure that any disease would make itself manifest and run its course, thus preserving the port city from importing an epidemic.
118. In the original language, quorum, circle, cycle, council are all the same word, so that it is obvious that a quorum of three, twelve, or seventy, has, in its sphere, exactly the same attributes as an atom of three, twelve, or seventy, or a planetary, solar, or stellar system has in its sphere, or times have with their hours, weeks, months, and years.
119. Sixty is a cycle of perfection. It was for this reason that in every age of the world, the life span of man was some multiple of this number. Josephus mentions 600 years as the Great Year, sufficient time for man to reckon the hierarchy of the heavens. Moses was told that the life of man would be reduced to 120 years after the Flood. After the time of Joshua it was reduced to 72, where it remains to the present day. The logic here was that after completing a cycle of 12, the preparatory priesthood would be conferred upon young men, and then they would have a cycle of perfection to prepare to return to the presence of the Almighty.
120. It was also for this reason (see chronology above) that Abraham entered Egypt in the year 1830 BC - that number is the summation of a cycle of perfection, that is, the numbers 1+2+3 + … +58+59+60 = the integral of x, which is ½ x squared plus 1/x = 1,830.
121. Perceptive individuals will find a mirrored significance of this number, which, as far as I have been able to determine, no one has ever known until now, and be able to determine what is meant by the “meridian of time” as a designation of the advent of the Messiah in the flesh.
122. David and Solomon are a type of Elohim, or God the Father, and Jehovah, His Son. It is for this reason that the Messiah is called in the New Testament, “the Son of David” - not because of David the son of Jesse. The Savior tried to explain this to the Jews, but they did not get it.
123. I have found the name David in ancient records a thousand years before the time of King David, and have been able to translate it. It is composed of two hieroglyphs, one being an outstretched arm with a triangle in it, pronounced DA and having the significance of something having been given, or endowed, and the second, a circle with a dot in it, which in this instance should be pronounced HVID and means “white light” i.e. pure light. The name means “endowed with light [intelligence]” and is a title of the Father. The word HVID is preserved in modern Danish, “white.” It seems almost sacrilege that I should also bear that name, but I plead as my defense that my parents did not have a clue as to what it meant, or to Whom it was originally assigned, and that if it could be worn by King David, perhaps I would not do it any more dishonor than he did.
124. King of Assyria: In the original it is MUSH RUSSHA and has been recognized by some scholars to be the “Red Dragon” mentioned in Revelations. This is true, but absolutely no help to Americans in the year 2005 AD. Remember what I said about how proper nouns are capitalized. The ASSHUR is indeed RUSSHA, or as we recognize it, Russia. No, they are not in shambles, and never were, but if people want to believe something hard enough, it is surprising how little it takes to gull them into carnal security. All Asian analysts who know anything at all are now publicly acknowledging that even China could whip America in a pitched battle. Russia is far more capable. As I said, people who do not keep basic commandments are not capable of believing this. Yet every previous civilization has gone down exactly the same path.
125. Now let the doomsayers have a field day. But the whole purpose of the book of Isaiah is to comfort those who live through his prophecies with the assurance that when the Almighty is satisfied that the country has been sufficiently purged of its iniquity, the yoke of the King of Assyria will be broken off, never again to afflict His people.
126. I neglected to mention earlier that once the name Eden is correctly translated (GAN ADON, Garden of the Lord), any Hebraist will immediately recognize that it refers to an enclosed area, surrounded by a protective natural or artificial wall, without which, you can not have a garden in a world of beasts of the field - cognate with the words guard, Slavic gorod, Old Church Slavonic grad, Saxon gard, gart, Middle English ward (= prison), etc. Eve should have known better than to listen to a serpent who was trespassing even to be there. Of course you know that “serpent” means any reptile, not just a snake. This one had legs, like a Tyrannosaurus.
127. Isaiah 65:20-22. Isaiah prophesies that in the last days our life span will gradually be increased till it reaches the age of a tree. But what is the age of a tree? The 100 years mentioned in verse 20 is a scribal error. Remember I said that all scriptures could be understood by translating them into the language of Adam? In that language, the hieroglyph for a tree is also a very specific number - 120. By the time the Messiah comes, the normal lifespan will be 120 years. He will not come before that happens.
128. The knowledge base of those who keep the covenant of Ham is superstition. These people consult horoscopes and take them seriously, carry good luck charms, consider some numbers and days lucky and others unlucky, and so forth, none of which has any basis whatsoever in fact.
129. The knowledge base of those who keep the covenant of Japheth is credentials and consensus. This is far more sensible than that of the lower covenant, but these people go with the flow, which works well enough most of the time, but when the flow is downhill as it inevitably becomes, they likewise perish in the flood.
130. The knowledge base of those who keep the covenant of Shem is that of independent knowledge. Of course they respect the credentials of scholars and professionals, but they know a few things for themselves without needing anyone else’s permission. When a prophet comes and prophesies, as Jonah did to Nineveh, they believe him, respond, and are usually spared.
131. The last prophet of the OT prophesies that the genealogy bug will bite a lot of people in the last days, and that if this were not so, the earth would be utterly wasted (read: desolate) at His coming. What does this mean? I have not found anyone who understood exactly why genealogy is necessary. Sure, they quote scriptures that say we cannot be saved without our dead and vice-versa, but what exactly does that mean? I have not found any precise understanding on the subject anywhere except in the prophets themselves. The answer is simple enough: No one who ever lived on this planet ever has been, nor ever will be, resurrected until his genealogy is done back to Adam, and all necessary ordinances performed by or in behalf of his ancestors. Remember Jesus saying that no one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven (meaning Celestial) without baptism? And remember the NT talking about baptisms being performed for the dead? Why would it be in our interest to see to this work? Remember the Savior saying to Peter that He would delegate the sealing power to His representatives on earth? Why would that be necessary? For the simple reason that the resurrection is by the sealing line. Every person who ever lived or ever will live on the earth will be resurrected by the person he is sealed to. Only one Person who ever lived on the earth had that power within Himself, which He inherited from His Father. After His resurrection, He raised up Adam [conveniently buried at the base of the cross, hence the name Golgotha, correctly translated by a 19th century prophet as “the place of burial” not “the place of a skull”], who then raised up Eve, then Abel and Seth, and Seth raised up his sons, and so on.
132. The notion that vicarious work performed in behalf of the dead might not be accepted is absurd. “As in Adam, all die, even so, in Christ, shall ALL be made alive.” Sooner or later, everyone will know the truth. Sooner or later, everyone will accept the truth. Sooner or later, everyone will be resurrected. There will be no exceptions.
133. The Savior referred to some as sheep, some as dogs, and some as swine. What did He mean? Was this a racial slur of some kind? No. In the language of Adam, the hieroglyphs for “sheep” mean “white garment creature.” In the first degree, it is the animal we know as a sheep, which is generally white, and provides garments for us.
134. In the second degree, it is simply, “garment creature,” that is, the only creature who wears clothing, namely, man.
135. In the third degree, white garment creature refers to those mentioned in the OT: “Who are these all arrayed in white?” who have taken upon themselves the teachings of the Savior and agreed, by covenant, to keep them. These are they who keep the covenant of Shem.
136. In the fourth degree, it refers to those who are clothed with a white robe, having passed the Bar of Judgment.
137. The word “dog” in the language of Adam means “change of heart” or “another heart”. It refers to those who live by the covenant of Japheth and will inherit the Terrestrial Kingdom.
138. The word “swine” - you guessed it - refers to those who keep the covenant of Ham and will inherit the Telestial Kingdom.
139. The association in English of Ham with swine is not a coincidence. In the writings of Abraham, it is stated that Providence has overseen the course every language will take, and directed that course by prophecy and by promise to those who are born into it. Thus, it is likewise no coincidence that the wandering of the Israelites in the wilderness after rejecting the higher law and immediate entry into the Promised Land, comes down to us as the “wilderness of Sin” even though Hebraists may correctly point out that it is a short form of the Sinai mountains.
140. It is no coincidence that what we call the beatitudes - although any Latin scholar can correctly point out that this is an Anglicized version of the word “Beatus” - “Blessed” that each begins with - suggest to the English conversant mind the idea of be-attitudes. But what does “blessed” mean, anyway? Here, and practically everywhere else in scriptures where the word is used, it is used in the sense of the Greek “Makarioi” which has been translated as “blessed” - but I have discovered that this word is the direct descendant from the ancient Egyptian word that occurs in the papyrus describing the Bar of Judgment (I will present a complete, correct translation of this section of the papyrus here later) - describing one who has passed the Bar of Judgment - “Maa Kheru” - literally, “true of voice” yet its inferential meaning has been haggled over by scholars for hundreds of years. It means exactly the same thing as “Blessed …” does in the Sermon on the Mount - namely, that by living up to the law stated, you will pass the Bar and will inherit the Celestial Kingdom. Every one of the beatitudes is a way of saying that you will inherit the Celestial Kingdom if you live up to it.
141. Revelations chapter 18 refers to a nuclear attack on New York City. This will not be believed by persons not living up to the principles they should, but it will be obvious to the whole world when it happens. By the time it occurs, it will be quite just. They are the ones who financed and promoted the attack in the first place. They sought to bring the world under one government with themselves at the top, but how can it be a surprise that they are double-crossed? When in the history of the world was a monster ever created which remained submissive to its maker? They will suffer the same fate as the poor traitorous wizard in Lord of the Rings who was told by Gandolf that “Sauron does not share power.” Nor should this provide fodder for the doomsayers. Of course America must be destroyed when it hits its moral bottom, and the survivors will be brought into a “hard bondage:” as prophesied, but go back and read the prophets - this is a cleansing our own iniquities have made necessary, and when we are sufficiently cleansed, Providence will raise up a Gideon and a breach will be made in the lines of the foreign occupant and he will be driven to the sea and the survivors of his troops will be so few that “a child may count them.” I don’t know how long this foreign occupation may last, but the track record suggests that we may count on a quarantine (forty years).
142. Countless scholars have tried to translate Nephi but none has succeeded. It is not Hebrew. It means “the fire of My mouth” and is an allusion to one who destroys the enemies of the Lord’s people, specifically, to one who destroys captains of fifty of the enemy host, as mentioned in the first chapter of the second book of Kings. His father was given a similar name for the same reason, as anyone familiar with the Bible should know.
143. Likewise, “Liahona” is not Hebrew, and likewise, all attempts at translating it have failed, leaps of fancy notwithstanding. LI = a classifier of long, slender objects. A = the number 2. HO = the V made by birds in flight indicating a direction; that which points the way. NA = a stone or other hard object with writing on it. LIAHONA = a compass with two spindles, one of which points the direction and the other of which points to characters written inscribed around the periphery of the dial to spell out messages.
144. Ether has three meanings, one of which has been plagiarized on the Internet already, “prisoner.” The other two are “one who survives a battle” and “the last of a series.”
145. Omer means remote in time and space from the beloved homeland of Egypt.
146. Emer means return to the beloved homeland.
147. Shelem means a crown.
148. Zerin means “the ends of the earth.” It formed a boundary, beyond which no man could pass.
149. Ziff is platina in its naturally occurring form, alloyed with its five related refractory metals.
150. Curelom is what we call the baluchitherium.
151. Cumom is what we call the uintatherium.
152. Limhi’s flocks were not sheep. They were the ancestor of what we call today, alpacas, vicunas, guanacos, and llamas.
153. The Ammonites were the ancestors of the tribe we call Navajo.
154. The ancestry of the Jaredites is documented all over the Internet in a little booklet I published about a quarter of a century ago.
155. There is only one Urim and Thummim.
156. Mosiah the Elder got the Urim and Thummim and the Breastplate of Judgment from the Mulekites.
157. I believe the sword of Laban was the same one used by Gideon.
158. Twelve such swords were made, for the preservation of the tribes of Israel through all generations of time. They are all identical.
159. You would not know what these swords looked like unless you had one in your own family ancestry. My grandmother’s maiden name was Sharp. She was descended from a Norman knight distinguished for valor on the battlefield, upon whom was conferred the title “Monsieur de l’Esharpe” - ‘My lord of the scarf”. The legend on the coat of arms reads “Ferio sed sano” which the heraldry professional incorrectly translated as “I carry but I heal.” It really means “I smite but I heal.” This legend is written in the language of Adam on the double edged blade of each of the swords.
160. The hilt of the sword is solid gold. It is a caduceus - a reptile - exactly like the one Moses raised up to heal all the Israelites who would look at it, who had been bitten by poisonous flying serpents. After the battle, this hilt would stop the bleeding of all those who looked at it. If this sounds absurd, it is no more absurd than the story we have in Numbers.
161. Now you know why the legend on the blade says what it does.
162. It is commonly known that “Excalibur” is the Norman French way of writing what was originally “Caliburna” or, more correctly, KA LI BUR NA. I am not aware of anyone ever being able to translate that name. It is, again, in the language of Adam. KA = augmentative. LI = classifier of long slender objects (remember Liahona?). BUR = cavity. NA = a hard object, usually a rock. Kaliburna = the sword that came out of the cavity of a rock; the sword of humility.
163. King Arthur was a real person.
164. King Arthur did not die. He was translated, like John in the New Testament.
165. Priesthood keys on the earth remain forever unless they are removed.
166. Priesthood keys cannot be removed by death. Had all the Apostles been killed, the Seventy had all the keys necessary to reconstitute the Church. Had all the Seventies been killed, the Elders held this power collectively and could have reconstituted the church.
167. Because John was translated, after the other eleven apostles were killed, he and only he held the keys for conferring the priesthood upon others. When he withdrew from the people as he did when he was imprisoned at Patmos, no one had any right to perform any ordinance, not even baptism, let alone ordination of anyone to the priesthood. Anyone claiming priesthood authority must claim it through John, not Peter. It is a well established historical fact that John was the successor (survivor) of Peter and not the other way around. John had no successor; hence the priesthood was taken from the earth.
168. At the close of every dispensation, someone was translated, thereby taking the keys away, and thereby necessitating a restoration at some future time of those keys.
169. No one will be translated in this dispensation. By this simple mechanism, the keys will never again be taken from the earth. Nothing else is necessary.
170. All flora and fauna which ever existed upon the earth are still here and will be rediscovered in due time. This process has already begun, but is such an embarrassment to the proponents of organic evolution that they have refused to give such discoveries any press. In time, the sheer abundance of evidence will overwhelm them.
Now if I haven’t forgotten anything, next week we will begin correcting previously translated ancient records, which will provide information not previously known, and when that is done we will get on with translating ancient records for which I know of no translation. When that is done I will finish with a complete grammar and dictionary of the language of Adam, by which you will have a perfect understanding of all Holy Writ and a lot of other things, and I will consider my work done.
171. I did forget something. What is the explanation for what astrophysicists call black holes, if what I said is true - that there is no such thing? There really are areas in space where the light from distant galaxies is bent, due to some huge gravitational power. These are giant stars unknown to astronomers, yet you can see one for yourself. On chart number 356-5 published by the Hansen Planetarium, Salt Lake City, Utah, copyright 1980 by the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh, you see the Horsehead Nebula in Orion, IC 434. The nebula classified in the New General Catalog as NGC 2024, at the seven o’clock position of Zeta orionis [the easternmost star in Orion’s belt] is in fact a giant star shielded by an interstellar cloud. It is this star which is described in the writings of Abraham as one of the governing stars. Astrophysicists may, if they care, examine the region and find out for themselves that it has all the attributes of what they have called black holes, but it is quite the opposite - a giant star, hence the powerful gravitational field, with a giant shield, hence the absence of visibility by the naked eye.
172. From the Egyptian records, I learned a quarter of a century ago that this is the abode of Osiris, or in other words, Jehovah. Any Egyptologist knows that Egyptians claim Osiris dwelt in Orion, which of course for a fictitious god is meaningless. But now you know what that means.
173. A few years ago a British scholar discovered that the great pyramids were arranged in a configuration duplicating the constellation of Orion, with the Nile being in the position of the Milky Way. This is a very great discovery, but he did not know why this arrangement was chosen at such great expense. But now you do.
174. From the writings of Abraham I learned that all such giant stars have interstellar clouds to shield planets like ours from their powerful radiation, without which, planets like ours could not exist.
175. Oh, one more thing. Now you know how to calculate the length of a barge which is "the length of a tree" - you already know they used the language of Adam. Once you know their ancestry, as I mentioned above, you know what cubit to use and can calculate the exact length of their barges.
Without knowing what you now do, wouldn’t “the age of a tree” and “the length of a tree” seem a little bit absurd?
176. In the language of Adam, the Godhead, i.e. the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, are respectively compared to the sun, moon, and stars. It is easy enough to comprehend the nature and identity of the first Two, but I never met or heard of anyone who understood the Holy Ghost, although I know the great prophets understood it perfectly, although they did not, by any record I have been able to find, spell it out clearly in a way that everyone could understand it, in the languages in which their writings have been handed down to us. The Holy Ghost is not a certain individual, nor do we worship him, nor do we pray to him. It should be obvious from the eyewitness accounts that many spirits, all good or all bad, can abide in one mortal body, as we have many eyewitness accounts of both cases, but one spirit can only abide in one mortal body at a time. Therefore it is perfectly reasonable that the Holy Ghost should be compared to the stars of heaven - there are many of them.
177. The Holy Ghost is not a god in the sense that we think of it, but rather the messenger boy of the Godhead. Therefore the office of the Holy Ghost is not permanent, but rather a temporary assignment given to a good spirit.
178. The good spirits assigned to this office do not act in their own behalf nor in their own name (cf. “Why inquirest thou after my name, seeing it is secret?”) but do exactly as they are commissioned, nothing more, and nothing less. These spirits may be either a KA or an AL BETH KA as explained below. They can not be anything else, nor can they be spirits assigned to another planet.
179. In order that this concept may be understood, we must first understand our own nature, which is known to many except for the translations, which I will cite here. These are not my discoveries, as I say, except for the translations. Our first form of existence is called KHU, intelligence, which is eternal, but has no estate and therefore no real agency. The possibility of agency is inseparable from estate or abode. Our second form of existence was called KA, spirit, also known to many as the first estate, wherein we acquired our spirit bodies. This word is preserved in the Japanese KA-ERU, to change, where KA is the root meaning and -ERU is the verb infinitive suffix, also analogous to the infinitive --R suffice of the Romance languages we know so well in the West. It is commonly known that the KA represents our completed personality - it grows to maturity and perfection but never ages or deteriorates. Gender and all other attributes are perfectly defined at this stage, as is also commonly known. If you want to know what your KA looks like, get a picture of yourself at age 33 in prime health.
180. The KA, or spirit, can only be born of resurrected, immortal parents.
181. If either or both parents are mortal, the offspring will be mortal in the sense of having a physical body and being capable of dying.
182. If the male parent is immortal and the female mortal, the offspring will be capable of dying only by his choice, but will have power to live again. This is not a discovery because it is commonly known as being the case of Jesus Christ.
183. If the male parent is mortal and the female immortal, the offspring will be capable of living forever unless an irreversible choice is made to die, in which case the offspring will have no power to live again unless raised up by one who has that power. This likewise is not a discovery because it is known, or at least suspected, by many, as being the case of Adam.
184. Our third state of existence, just alluded to, is called BETH KA, which may be translated as body and spirit, second estate, and abode of change. This is the mortal state we are now in. BETH is the ancestor of the Hebrew BETH meaning house, our words BODY, ABODE, ABIDE, etc., all related to the idea of a place of residence.
185. Now I want to mention something here that is not commonly known, or at least, not by any source I have been able to find. Some believe that we chose our parents. This is true, not in some cases, but in all cases. What I have not been able to find anyone else knowing is that upon acquiring our second estate or mortal body, we were, exactly at that time, given additional talents and attributes that we did not previously have, and which we would not have had, had we chosen a different family. We knew this perfectly well at the time we made the choice, and however frustrated we may be in mortality, if the veil were taken from our minds and the knowledge restored to us that we had at the time we made the choice, we would make exactly the same choice, because we are exactly the same individuals now that we were then. In fact, if we were given the chance in mortality to alter the choice (as we sometimes ignorantly wish we could) it would not be anywhere near as good as the choice we already made. We all owe a debt of gratitude to our mortal parents for GIFTS we have acquired from them, which we did not earn, but were handed to us on a silver platter as part of our legacy of being born to them. We can only retain these gifts by honoring our parents to the maximum extent we are permitted to do so in mortality, and by developing those talents to the best of our ability during our second estate, and acquiring others as we are able to do so. (cf. the parable of the talents given in the New Testament).
186. Our fourth state of existence begins at the death of our mortal body, and is called AL BETH KA, which means without abode of change, or in other words, a spirit who has experienced mortality, and is now returned to his former state, equipped with the changes experienced in that mortality.
187. Our fifth and final state of existence is called AL KA BETH, which means without change of abode, and begins at the time of the resurrection, wherein our spirit returns to the place of interment of the mortal body, in the company of the person we are sealed to, generally husband or father, who has been resurrected and thereby holds the priesthood of resurrection (which is impossible to be held in mortality by those born of a mortal father), and by that power, commands the elements constituting our mortal frame to return from wherever they may be, from the four quarters of the earth, to clothe the spirit with its original physical body once again, with a bond that is eternal, by which means the body and spirit can never be separated again.
188. It is the combination of the priesthood of the sealing power, which can be held by men on earth, and the priesthood of resurrection, which can only be held under the conditions mentioned above, that the resurrection of all persons ever born on the earth takes place. There is no resurrection until both conditions are met.
189. Now this leads us to the question as to when the resurrection takes place. To answer this, we must first answer the question as to which member of the Godhead is responsible for this ordinance. The Father has already delegated this power to His Son, and the Holy Ghost is incapable of holding this power, being a spirit. It is the Son, Jesus Christ, or Jehovah, by Whom this ordinance is performed, and by those delegated by Him under the conditions mentioned above. This is commonly known, but what is not commonly known is, How many resurrections are there? Remember that I said that all these things could be readily understood in the original language, and that in that language, Jesus or Jehovah is compared to the moon and its attributes. The moon is of a lesser light than the sun, (cf. John 14:28) and is divided up into phases whereby it wanes and waxes (emblematic of the Savior’s death and resurrection) and executes a cycle of 28 days or parts. Likewise, there are twenty-eight resurrections: each of the seven dispensations has four resurrections, the first three of glory corresponding to the three kingdoms of glory mentioned above, and the fourth corresponding to those who were a law unto themselves (deliberately shedding innocent blood) and therefore is a kingdom without glory, variously called outer darkness or perdition. Since each kingdom necessarily by its superior glory (light and truth, or in other words, intelligence and knowledge) administers to the one directly below it, it should be obvious that the first resurrection is the celestial through all dispensations, then the terrestrial through all dispensations, and so on.
All these things I have said are perfectly obvious from a correct knowledge of the original language, and, conversely, it is impossible to translate the original language correctly without a knowledge of these simple things. Probably next week we will move on to a complete translation of the Bar of Judgment as written by Abraham as given in the Egyptian papyri of Hunefer, Ani, and so on, British Museum papyri Nº9901 and Nº10471, etc., if I remember correctly.
190. The Urim and Thummim was taken from the Kingdom of Judah in about 588 B.C.
191. The Book of Judges was written some time after 588 B.C. We know this because at the time of its writing, there were no longer seers in Israel, simply meaning that the Urim and Thummim had been taken from them by that time.
192. The principle of proximity: The spirit assigned to act in the office of the Holy Ghost is generally the one having the most interest in the matter. For example, when a man receives a prompting to marry a certain girl, it is often the spirit of one of his own as yet unborn posterity who is assigned to deliver that message, acting in the office of the Holy Ghost.
193. The expression "clear as the moon and fair as the sun" is a scribal error. The correct expression as it occurs in the language of Adam is "clear as the sun and fair as the moon."
194. The Jaredites were black and did not hold the priesthood. I discovered this back in 1967 from an analysis of their names, but there is also abundant archeological and historical evidence to prove the point beyond dispute. See my little booklet "The Jaredites Were Black."
195. The average full grown male Jaredite was nine feet six inches tall. These are a part of the race of giants mentioned in Genesis and other ancient records.
196. The Liahona was a product of Jaredite technology. The Jaredites were familiar with the workings of certain minerals which would emit a faint glow in the presence of the Holy Ghost, and with the technology used by Abraham to detect the presence of underground pools of water, and this technology was incorporated. You may recall that the Liahona pointed to the more fertile parts of the land, as yet unseen by the travelers, and you recall also that it would not work when there was any degree of disharmony with the Holy Ghost. The Israelites also used this in the Breastplate of Judgment and its ephod - the two stones on the shoulder of the priest would glow in the presence of the Holy Ghost. They were onyx stones. The Israelites never understood the technology, but the Jaredites did, as is evidenced by the Liahona.
197. The Liahona was delivered to the door of Lehi’s tent by Ether.
198. Ether was translated.
199. It is known to many that the most intelligent Person who ever lived on this earth was Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten and heir of His Father’s divinity. The second most intelligent person, albeit a distant second, was the translator of the book in which these terms occur, an ordinary man like you and me.
200. Gazelem should be transliterated Gazelam.
201. Gazelam means "the brilliant one."
202. Gazelam was the name of the translator of the book, in the First Estate.
203. Neither the Most Intelligent, nor the second most intelligent wrote hardly anything; virtually everything we have of their sayings comes to us from others who wrote it down. Nor did either of them live anywhere near a normal life span, because the world cannot abide such characters. The third most intelligent person who ever lived on this earth was Abraham, and it is from him that we must learn after exhausting the writings from the first two. Abraham knew this, and it was for this reason he entrusted all of his discoveries to the Egyptians as being the only nation on earth having enough stability to preserve his writings down to our day.
Below I present a few of my corrections of the translation of Osiris in the hall of double Maat (which should be translated, Jehovah at the Bar of Judgment).
204. The so-called Book of the Dead was written by Abraham.
205. The older Egyptologists, especially E.A. Wallis Budge, were better translators of Egyptian hieroglyphs than anything I have seen in the second half of the twentieth century. I will cite his translations [ The Papyrus of Ani, 1895, Trustees of the British Museum] and follow them by my own translations.
206. Plate III, Section 1, Hall of Judgment, p. 11: EAWB: My heart my mother, twice. DGS: My heart and might are as my mother Eve.
207. EAWB: My heart of my coming into being. DGS: My mind and strength are as my father Adam.
208. The jackal-headed escort: EAWB: Anubis. DGS: This has a triple meaning. First, it represents the escort who comes to pick us up at the moment of death. This is usually the person we are sealed to, or the person closest to us, who has preceded us in death. Often the dying person will cry out the name of this person, unseen to others present, as his last words. In the case of martyrs for the cause of Right and Truth, it is the Savior Himself. It is preserved in the Greek tradition of Kharron, the ferryman, and the Finnish legend of the Swan of Tuonela.
209. The second meaning is, the person who, having been resurrected himself, comes to perform the resurrection of the deceased, which is always the person sealed to him, such as husband or father.
210. The third meaning is, the person who greets us upon arrival at the Bar of Judgment.
211. This person is represented in hieroglyphs by what is called by Egyptologists as INPU, although they generally cite the Greek form of the word, Anubis. However, this is a proper noun, and by way of respect is written in the opposite direction, and the quail chick rendered U should be rendered M as already demonstrated earlier, and the square box hieroglyph rendered P should be rendered R, also as already demonstrated. The correct reading is MRNI, or more completely, MORONI.
212. The description of Moroni as given in the hieroglyphs is "He who stands upon his hill." This is commonly known, but the meaning of the hill is not. This has two meanings.
213. The first meaning of the word hill used as part of his title is the hill in upstate New York called Cumorah, or as modern scholars would read it, Qumorah.
214. The second meaning of the word hill as used here refers to what was called "the mountain of the Lord," or in other words, the pile of rocks constituting His temple. He was always placed atop such a sacred place, always facing east, awaiting the return of Osiris, or Jehovah as the rising sun.
215. The title of person bearing this hieroglyph is, The guardian of sacred records by which the world shall be judged.
216. The hieroglyphs at the top of this plate indicate that the Bar of Judgment is presided over by a Quorum or Council of Three, a Quorum or Council of Twelve, and a Quorum or Council of Seventy. Note that the first three hieroglyphs have crowns upon their heads; and the first seven have scepters in their hands, representing keys of the priesthood.
217. In some versions of this document there are twelve hieroglyphs on the top, and in others, fourteen. The fourteen are to be taken as raised one degree, that is, multiplied by five.
218. The left pan of the scales: EAWB, p. 255: the heart, emblematical of the conscience. DGS: The heart hieroglyph represents the life and desires of the defendant.
219. The right pan of the scales: EAWB: weighed in the balance against the feather, emblematical of law. DGS: the feather hieroglyph is pronounced USHU MAAT and has five degrees: 1. The foundation of seeing by the light of right (i.e., conscience). 2. The foundation of seeing by the light of truth (i.e., the Holy Ghost). 3. The Book seen by three witnesses. 4. The Book seen by eight witnesses. 5. The sealing power, i.e., what is said, done, and written by those who hold the sealing power, including ordinances performed by us or in our behalf.
220. Said to one who passes the Bar: EAWB p. 17: Let there be given to him cakes and a coming forth in the presence of Osiris and a field abiding in Sekhet-hetepu. DGS: Let there be given to him the sacramental bread and wine in commemoration of the suffering and atonement of the Only Begotten Son, and a coming forth in the presence of Jehovah, and an eternal abode in the New Jerusalem.
221. Much more could be said of this section of the papyrus, but I want to move on to p. 60-61 where we have an extract from the Book of Enoch. Here, the major players and major events of each of the seven dispensations are cited by way of prophecy. I will give just one example.
222. EAWB: Hall the fifth. … Saith Osiris, scribe Ani, triumphant. DGS: Fifth dispensation. … Thus saith Jehovah, the Lord God.
223. EAWB: I have brought thy jawbones into Restau. DGS: I shall bring Lehi into the land southward.
224. EAWB: I have brought for thee thy backbone into Heliopolis. DGS: And I shall bring Mulek into the land northward.
225: EAWB: gathering together his many fragments there. I have repulsed for thee… DGS: to gather together the many remnants of the houses of Joseph and of Mulek.
226. Mulek was not originally a proper name, but is merely the correct transliteration of the word for prince. In the original form of old Hebrew, A+A should always be rendered O or U. This is preserved in modern Scandinavian.
227. What is meant by "reformed Egyptian?" It is nothing more or less than old Hebrew written using Egyptian Hieratic characters for brevity.
228. This explains why Arabic, which we would assume to be the descendant of ancient Egyptian hieratic, is nothing of the sort. It is Hebrew written in hieratic. "Reformed Egyptian" is nothing more nor less than an early form of what we know today as Arabic.
229. The Hindis are descended from the ancient Egyptians.
230. This explains the prevalence of the family name "Gupta" among them.
231. It also explains why the Devanagari script in which Hindi is written is nothing more than a modified Egyptian hieratic, rotated 90 degrees with a horizontal line over it.
232. The original logic behind the Roman alphabet we use today is based upon this chart:
233. The vowels originally were used to indicate degree: A = 1st, E = 2nd, and so on.
234. Changing the vowel, thereby changing the degree, was a way of indicating changes in tenses in the verb. This is preserved in the notion of strong verbs, cf. sing, sang, sung, ring, rang, rung, etc.
235. In nouns, it indicated the change in number. This is preserved in the German language, which is also evidenced in Etruscan before it.
236. Letters grouped together in the above chart were originally represented by a single Phoenician simplified hieroglyph.
237. Doubling the vowel was also a way of shifting the degree and indicated also a shift in sound. This is preserved in English: EE is pronounced like the nest vowel to the right of the chart, I, although we have been trained in English not to think like that, it is obvious to Europeans once it is explained to them because they are used to pronouncing I like we pronounce EE.
238. Note also the example OO = U in pronunciation, the next vowel to the right.
239. The AA shift to E is preserved in the German umlauted A which is then pronounced E.
240. I should point out something that should be obvious, but apparently not. There are no seers on the earth today, although a man may be sustained by his church or followers to be a seer - all that means is that, if and when the man acquires the Urim and Thummim, we give him our assent to act in that capacity. A seer is one who has and uses the Urim and Thummim, nothing more and nothing less, and it does not even require the priesthood, although a priest after the order of Aaron has a legal right to act in this capacity. But he still needs the Urim and Thummim to be a seer. Some have confused prophecy with seership.
241. There is no correlation between any church calling or position, and righteousness or intelligence or knowledge, nor indeed should there be. If a man is called of God to some office, we are duty bound to follow him in all that he says and does because he then becomes the Lord’s legal administrative officer and mouthpiece. But we have no right to demand that he know everything or that he be better than other men, other than to meet a basic standard of righteousness characteristic of any follower of righteousness.
242. First, a couple of desultory items. When I was in high school, I figured out that the best place for storage of nuclear waste would be abandoned coal mines. The high concentration of carbon atoms in coal acts as a moderator of neutrons, absorbing them with Carbon 12 to become Carbon 14, exactly as graphite rods in a nuclear reactor. This is a very simple idea - abandoned coal mines being in and of themselves dangerous and worth less than nothing for any other purpose. Yet I am not aware of anybody doing this. It is such a simple idea that I hope somebody somewhere is doing it.
243. Some thirty-three years ago I began restoring antique clocks, which I have been doing ever since. A very popular kind of early American clock was the OG, a weight driven rectangular wall clock which sold for about four dollars when new, about 1810 to about 1875. I have never been able to find anybody who had the foggiest notion what OG stood for, and even clock collectors would argue with me when I tried to enlighten them. It is an architectural term several hundred years old. It refers to the difference between the Eastern “onion domes” characterized by the Kremlin and Middle Eastern Architecture, the compound S-curve, as opposed to the simple Gothic arch curve. It simply means “Oriental Gothic” and refers to the compound S-curve which is the distinguishing characteristic of OG clocks.
244. The resurrection and judgment are inseparably connected: immediately after the resurrection we are escorted to the Bar. But there are already two preliminary judgments made: the first, when we die, is by our own conscience having a perfect memory of all our actions, good and bad, and condemning us for the bad. This is commonly known. It is also commonly known, because it is mentioned in the NT, that a sort of judgment is passed upon us by our own spirits at the time of resurrection, because we are resurrected as “bodies celestial, terrestrial, or terrestrial”. And I already mentioned that the resurrection is sequenced by kingdoms, starting from the top. The thing I did not mention is that, at the Bar of Judgment, all heirs to a celestial glory are judged by celestial beings, then the terrestrial resurrection and judgment takes place by those delegated to do so, then the telestial, then those who are not eligible for a kingdom of glory. The point here is that God does not personally judge everyone Himself, nor does He need to. A murderer will never see God; he will be judged by a person who is better than he is, and his judgment will be just. The Savior referenced this principle when he said that ancient kingdoms would “rise up in judgment against this generation” because, wicked as they may have been, they were more righteous than those who rejected the Savior.
245. What does the name Lucifer mean? I have never met or heard of anybody who had the foggiest idea. Derivation from Latin is a false etymology supposed to mean “light bearer”. The word is not Latin. LU means a person or a man, as we have already demonstrated. CIFER is preserved in Arabic cifr, a number, ancestor of our word “cipher”, and at the same time, ancestor of the Hebrew “sepher”, a written account. LUCIFER means “man of the accounts” or in other words, he was the secretary-treasurer of the Godhead. Any student of ancient history knows that secretary-treasurer were the same office because records were often kept on precious materials. It is known to many that Lucifer seeks to carry out his rejected plan of forcing everyone’s obedience by setting up Communist states here on earth. It is for this reason that the ruler of such countries is always the Secretary General, never the “President”.
246. The word ZION is known to many to mean “pure in heart.” A complete translation is given below. Another meaning is “the land of pure water.” For a complete description, a translation of all of its meanings is necessary.
247. Another meaning is “the land of virtue.”
248. Yet another meaning is “the powers of heaven.”
249. Yet another meaning is a land where there are more women than men.
250. Whenever the word ZION is used by the Old Testament prophets, it refers to the United States of America, as opposed to Jerusalem, usually meaning of course the whole land of Israel.
251. More about the Bar of Judgment. From the writings of Abraham it is evident that the sectarian notion of the wicked burning forever in hell is false. There are two conditions known as hell. The first, is the searing conscience after death for things we did that were wrong that we failed to repent of. This is commonly known. The second occurs after the Bar of Judgment. If we fail the Bar, we have to go through a torment beyond the capacity of the mortal body to bear (it would die instantly) but since we can not die after being resurrected, this torment is greater than anything we have ever experienced in our entire existence. This is the same torment the Savior endured in Gethsemane, which overloaded the capacity of His body to endure, to the point that blood came out of every pore. He could endure it because He had power over death; it would have killed any ordinary mortal instantly. But for those who have the commandments given to them, and willfully disobey them, and fail to make complete restitution and complete repentance, they will have to endure this same torment when they are resurrected and can no longer die themselves. This is known by many.
252. What is not known, so far as I can tell, is that even for the worst people who have ever lived on this earth, the Hitlers, the Stalins, the Herods and other mass murderers, although their torment is very great and their suffering very long, the time eventually comes when it has an end, and the Savior releases even them from their torment. Such characters are then given an estate like the one we now have, except that they can no longer die. For those who inherit this kingdom without glory (because they were a law unto themselves), their capacity to forget is restored to them, as it is with us in mortality, and they remain in this condition ever after.
253. Therefore we see that according to the incredible mercy of Providence, no one is ever shown the glory of a kingdom that is greater than the one he will eventually inherit. It is commonly known that that law by which our body is raised up to immortality will be forever binding upon us; that is, there is no possibility of progressing from a lower kingdom to a higher one, unless we have lived the highest law and inherit the highest glory, which is the only one which has no upper limit. It is also commonly known that the lowest part of the lowest kingdom of glory, the telestial, is far beyond the capacity of the mortal mind to comprehend. At the very least, it is a kingdom with no death, pain, or sickness, and one in which there is no sin and no forgetting, therefore the potential for learning is infinitely greater than it is here in mortality. Yet, it should never be lost sight of, that if we comprehended the consequence of sin, we would not do it, and therefore all temptation is based upon deception, as already mentioned. No sane person could ever be enticed to commit the least sin, let alone the serious ones, if he had the slightest inkling of how much suffering it will cost him.
254. It is commonly known that deathbed repentance, such as shown by Darth Vader in Episode 6 of Star Wars, is worthless for the sins he committed. It is absurd to suppose that a man can massacre innocent children (Episode 3) and destroy the emperor as his dying act (Episode 6) and all of a sudden be redeemed and saved from a lifetime of treachery and murder. As a rule of thumb, we may ask, “What is the worst sin I ever committed that I have not completely repented of?” and that will give us an idea of how we will fare at the Bar of Judgment. For example, if we cheated a brother out of a part of his inheritance, and that was the worst sin we ever committed, we can plan on inheriting the middle of the telestial kingdom.
255. A great many people do not understand that the mere fact of the existence of the atonement does not make it so that we do not have to pay for all of our sins, down to the last penny, with interest. The atonement is only good for sins we fully repented of. For any sin we commit and die before we fully repent, it is just as if there were no atonement at all relative to that sin. For this reason, procrastination of repentance is criminally stupid.
256. I don’t remember if I translated MAMMON, but I don’t think I did. It does not mean “wealth” or anything of the sort. It is a third person singular indefinite pronoun. It refers to whomever happens to be in power at the time. In modern English, about the closest rendition would be “bureaucrats.” “Ye cannot serve God and bureaucrats” - in other words, do not let those currently in positions of power or influence in your society determine your moral standards for you. We must, as good citizens, be subject to the powers that be, honoring every man in his station, obeying laws, etc., but for the exercise of our conscience, we are accountable only to our Maker.
257. Every head of every dispensation has had to execute a great cycle of purification, i.e., to fast (no food or drink of any kind) for forty days and forty nights as a part of his qualification for that position. Most of us, of course, could not survive such an ordeal, nor do we have to.
258. What does the word “AMEN” mean? I have heard lots of silly speculations, but I have never seen anything remotely close to an accurate translation, not anywhere. I see that in the modern Hebrew New Testament, the word is pressed into service to answer the equivalent of “Verily” in the King James version. The word is nothing more nor less than a period in the language of Adam. It simply means - this is the end of what has preceded. Period.
259. A person’s name is entered into the Book of Life at the time he is baptized by one having the authority to do so. It is in fact that authority that makes this happen, and without that authority, it does not, and the baptism is of no avail. Little children and those who are mentally incompetent need not be entered into the Book - their mere appearance at the Bar of Judgment will be sufficient to gain them admission. This second observation is commonly known.
260. Any person able to translate ancient languages is also able to detect frauds. There are frauds on the Internet purporting to be translations of ancient records, but a person in the field can detect immediately that they are neither ancient records nor translations of anything. Generally the truth is free and lies cost money. The discoveries I am sharing here are free; I have no agenda and I ask no recompense.
261. There has never in the history of the world been any unknown language recovered without a key of some kind. Linear B was not an unknown language; it was a known language in a previously unknown script. The claim that “any language can be translated by programming a computer to look for patterns” [Nibley] is in error. Something is always needed - a translation of some text, or the Urim and Thummim. Without these, an unknown language constitutes a perfect code that can never be broken by anyone. There are no exceptions, nor indeed can be.
262. The major waterworks and network of canals in Egypt were built under the direction of Joseph while he was king, and are called by his name, in Arabic, to this day.
263. It is commonly known that Middle English nursery rhymes are actually descriptions of historical events, such as, for example, “ring around the rosies” being a description of the bubonic plague and its futile treatment. Some years ago I discovered that Humpty Dumpty is a description of King Richard III. This is so obvious that I am sure many others have figured it out, but I have never heard it anywhere.
264. It is commonly known that many of the Psalms are about the Messiah. It is not commonly known - by anyone as far as I can tell - that some of the Psalms are about other prophets. For example, Psalm XVIII is about Nephi.
265. The three hieroglyphs that often follow the name of a pharaoh are read backwards by Egyptologists and are not at all understood. They are an indication that the pharaoh is at some future time to receive his endowment by the proper authority (which the Egyptians never had, notwithstanding they went through the motions anyway).
266. The hieroglyph known to everyone as “ankh, meaning life” actually refers to the keys of the priesthood [which is why it is a representation of a key], again something the Egyptians never had, yet they imitated all the ordinances and recorded them anyway.
267. It does not seem to be known by anyone today that the Scheherezade of the Alf Layla wa Layla [thousand and one nights] is the same as the Esther of the Bible. The three years of cliffhanger stories were her ruse to gain favor with the king, a detail left out of the Bible.
268. Whenever the expression “east wind” is used figuratively in scriptural prophecies, it means to be conquered by a foreign power.
269. “All is well in Zion” - I’ve never heard of anybody understanding exactly what this means, nor really anyone who knew why it was bad to suppose all is well. This expression comes from the cry of the watchmen of the old North Italian city-states. After announcing the time, the cry “All is well” meant that a state of war does not exist, nor is it imminent. Remember that we already learned that “Zion” when used in scriptural prophecies generally refers to the United States of North America. The fault for us today is, that anyone who teaches or believes “all is well in Zion” simply does not understand the OT prophecies in the least degree. The other two cries of the watchman provide insight as to the origin of a couple of our words in English. If the watchman spied the enemy, or received a report of the enemy, making preparations for war, then after announcing the time, his cry was “All’erta!” [to the ascent!] meaning that an attack was to be expected in the near future and that the watch on the city walls needed to be doubled immediately and that the frequency of reports needed to be doubled. This of course is the ancestor of our word “alert” indicating a state of watchfulness beyond the ordinary. When the enemy army was seen to be actually mobilized and about to march on the city, the cry of the watchman was “All’arme!” [to arms!] which was an appeal to every member of the militia, i.e. the combat-able citizenry, to put on his armor and grab his weapons and report to his local military commander ready for action. This is of course the ancestor of our word “alarm”. These additional etymologies are commonly known; I simply include them here because they belong here to complete the picture.
270. Ever wonder why the Roman numeral for “five” is a V, which has nothing to do with Latin? The answer is that in the oldest language, the word for “five” was “Veh”. This is preserved in Finnish to this day, “viisi.”
271. A similar explanation holds for the Roman use of L for “fifty.”
272. In ancient records, the Holy Ghost is sometimes referred to by a name which means “the Lord of Fifty.” This is why it came upon the Apostles on the day of Pentecost.
273. The use of X for 10 in Latin comes from the early language character for 10, rotated 45 degrees [+].
274. The Roman notion of subtraction on the left (IV, IX) and addition on the right (VI, XI) comes from the original language, rotated 90 degrees, wherein a line under denoted subtraction and a line over denoted multiplication. Even here, the Romans retained the line over a character as representing multiplication.
275. Our numbering notation which we call Arabic, is nothing of the sort. Its ancestry is: English < Arabic < Persian < Hindi < Egyptian.
276. Who built the sphinx? It was built by the grandson of Ham, the first pharaoh, Aha, called by Manetho, Menes, which is nothing more than a translation into Greek of the Egyptian word Aha.
277. When was the sphinx built? About 1695 B.C.
278. Why was the sphinx built? As a tribute to Shem, or Melchizedek, Aha’s great uncle.
279. What is the significance of the sphinx? It is a three dimensional hieroglyph. Translated, it means “man of holiness”.
280. The earliest “names of pharaohs” in rectangles found in the hieroglyphs such as “Neterkhebit” for “Zoser” are not names at all. They are statements of the most distinguished accomplishments of the king in question, as we already demonstrated for “Zoser” [Joseph], “the king who saved Egypt.”
281. Why do we say a blessing on food before eating it? In movies we often hear something like “for that which we are about to eat, make us truly grateful” which isn’t good for much. We often hear “bless this food that it will nourish and strengthen our bodies” which is good for nothing. We already made that choice when we chose the food, and there is no blessing that can make it more or less nourishing than it already is. We hear “and bless the hands that prepared it” which is a nice gesture, but again, that is not blessing the food nor does it do us or the food any good. Modern inspired men have counseled us “don’t eat unblessed food.” This is sound advice. Why? In the scriptures we read that inanimate objects can be blessed or cursed. Can devils and unclean spirits enter food and then use that as a path of entry into our bodies? Of course, just as surely as microbes can. Can devils or unclean spirits be blessed? No, they cannot. By pronouncing a blessing upon the food and drink we are about to ingest, in the name of the Lord, we cast out any devils which may be lurking in them, just as we read in the New Testament. This does not require any authority other than the name of Jesus Christ, since everyone has to eat and drink. He does this for anyone and everyone, merely for the asking. The blessing does not even have to be spoken aloud; it can be a silent prayer at a drinking fountain and last ten seconds. It can be done silently and unknown to a person sitting next to us, before putting a stick of gum in our mouth as we are driving down the road. Should we do this in all cases? The inspired man says we should. That is good enough for me. And after doing this for many years, I see why.
282. In the sacramental prayer, the bread and water are not only blessed, but it goes one step further - it is sanctified. What does that mean? We see that the blessing casts out any unclean spirits. It should be obvious that if an unclean spirit can infest food or drink, then a Holy Spirit can likewise reside therein (obviously not at the same time!). Does it require some kind of authority to invite the Holy Spirit to enter food or drink? It does, just as it requires authority to command a person to receive the Holy Ghost. It is all the same thing. So we see than anyone can ask a blessing upon food and drink and make it fit for consumption, from a spiritual standpoint, but to make it holy is an ordinance which requires the proper priesthood authority. After all, that’s what “sacrament” means - holy food and drink. This also embodies the reason why no one should take it unless he either is of an age or condition as not to need baptism, or has been baptized and had hands laid upon his head by those in authority for the reception of the Holy Ghost. And it also contains the explanation we are given in the NT as to the danger of receiving the sacrament if we are not worthy - it then has exactly the opposite effect of blessing and sanctifying the food and drink - because a Holy Spirit can not enter an unclean body, it leaves and is replaced by a devil or unclean spirit and therefore we “eat/drink damnation to our souls.” The danger of this is explained graphically in the NT, that many took sick and some slept [died] on this account. If we keep the commandments over a period of time, as mentioned earlier, it all becomes perfectly clear.
283. The Latin American celebration of “El Cinco de Mayo” is older than the battle of Pueblo in 1862, in which the Mexicans suffered great loss and it did not leave much to celebrate. It goes back, in fact, to 5 May 80 B.C., at which time an army of their ancestors [“Lamanites”] surprised a great city of white men [“Nephites”] in northern South America and annihilated them without the loss of a single soldier of their own army. This was the greatest military victory in their 2600 year history. This is recorded in Alma 16:1. Note that the date is considered so important that it is mentioned twice in the same verse!
284. I do not consider this a significant discovery, since it is so obvious that many could have and should have figured it out, but the Nephite calendar is the same as the Jewish one of that period, namely, that the year began on 1 April.
285. The ancient inhabitants of this continent (north and south America) used the same map orientation as their Middle Eastern ancestors; namely, that they oriented all their maps so that south was at the top. Going north is always called “down” and going south “up”.
286. Was there anything significant about the date of Moroni’s appearance? I have never heard of anybody mentioning this, but there was something very significant about it. The night of 21 September would actually be, the way the ancients reckoned time, September 22nd [beginning at sundown]. And according to their reckoning, it is the day the earth enters the Constellation of Libra. Any amateur etymologist knows that Libra means both a balance or scales, and a book. These two meanings are brought together in the hieroglyph of Jehovah at the Bar of Judgment, incorrectly or incompletely called by Egyptologists “Osiris and the Hall of Double Maat” wherein the Judgment is represented in hieroglyphs as scales in which the “Maat” hieroglyph is placed in the right scale pan, which I already translated as “the book seen by three witnesses” and “the book seen by eight witnesses” in the third and fourth degree, respectively. Exactly at the time the earth was entering the Constellation of Libra, a book by which the world would be judged was being brought forth by “the guardian of sacred records by which the world shall be judged” and “he who stands upon his hill” as explained earlier. As simple and obvious as this is, I am not aware of anyone ever having drawn this correlation.
287. A careless reading of the scriptures has led many to believe that the fall of man was necessary. The fine point of distinction is this: It was wrong for man to fall by taking the forbidden fruit. Had it been necessary, it is absurd to suppose that God would have forbidden it by way of commandment. Had it been necessary, it is absurd to suppose that Eve would have to be deceived - she would only have to be educated as to its necessity. But once Eve, being deceived, fell by eating the forbidden fruit, Adam had the choice of living forever in his paradise and letting Eve fend for herself, or taking the incredibly noble step of following Eve and sharing her fate so that what was left of the commandments - to replenish the earth - could still be kept, even at the cost of his own life, not knowing that he would ever live again, not having yet had the “Plan B” explained to him as to how he might ever recover from the fall. Once again: 1. It was wrong for man to fall. 2. Eve was deceived and fell. 3. At that point, Adam did what was then the right thing to do, even though it entailed what appeared to be terrible and irreparable consequences for himself. The fact that Eve exulted in her decision after it was explained to her that a redemption was possible still did not and does not make it the best or even the right thing to do, however flattering that may be to us, her posterity. To suppose that she would not have had posterity in process of time had she not fallen is likewise absurd, amounting to God giving contradictory commandments. Had Adam and Eve both kept the initial commandment of abstaining from the forbidden fruit, it would have in process of time been possible for them to keep the additional commandment of replenishing the earth, but the time was not yet ripe. By choosing to fall after Eve had placed him in this impossible situation, Adam chose to keep the greater commandment by breaking the lesser, for which we rightly esteem him as a prince over all of us forever.
288. As far as blame on Eve goes, another very simple point which I have never heard anyone bring up is this: the Fall occurred before Adam and Eve had a knowledge of good and evil, as the record itself clearly states. How in the world, then, do we come up with the notion that either Adam or Eve sinned, when the very notion of sin was unknown to them?
289. The sixteen parts into which the body of Osiris was said by the Egyptians to been divided by “Set” are a representation of the sixteen grandsons of Noah into which the world’s population was divided in the first generation after the Flood.
290. The so-called “Set” or “Seth” as called by Egyptologists should be read “Satan”. I do not know why they persist in ignoring the final N which is given in some of the hieroglyphs - perhaps because it seems to be left off in some spellings of his name.
291. Who are the “three Nephites”? Or is it possible to know who they were? They were Nephi, Timothy, and Jonas. How do we know this? First, find where it says that all of the twelve had died except the three who should tarry. Second, notice that Nephi the son of Nephi is still keeping the record! Third, notice that although the Bible says that Moses “died”, other ancient records (including the present one) confirm that Moses was in fact translated, so we have to conclude that “died” as in this instance was known perfectly well to the people in question to be a euphemism in the Bible. Fourth, we note to what extent the principle of proximity is used in these callings - that not only many of the Twelve mentioned in the NT are brothers, but likewise in this record. Fifth, we note that not only Nephi was translated, but also his father Nephi. These are all documentable, irrefutable facts. Sixth, we can add that Alma the younger, Nephi’s second great grandfather, had likewise been translated. Can I state with certainty that Alma’s second great grandson Nephi was translated? Yes, the record does not permit us to conclude otherwise. Do we know for sure that the names of the other two were Timothy and Jonas? No. This is not an ironclad certainty, but this is highly probable based on the considerations given, and in this way one of the three (Timothy) would have the uniquely valuable knowledge of what it is like to die.
292. I think I already stated that Zenos and Zenock were in Egypt, after Joseph but before Moses. They were both - you may insert some small ordinal number here - great grandsons of Joseph. How do I know? 3 Nephi 10:16. I don’t recall if I mentioned it, but I found both their names in Egyptian hieroglyphics. Both of their books still exist, and they are in hieroglyphics, but they are not as yet even recognized by any scholar I am aware of, much less translated correctly.
I need to update one thing I said in a previous installment. My oldest son pointed out that others have documented, and in even greater detail, that Humpty Dumpty was indeed Richard III of England. So even though I came to this conclusion quite on my own, I can not claim it as a discovery, since was apparently known to others before me. On the other hand, this additional and more thorough documentation does prove that my correlation was correct.
You probably noticed on the Internet a few days ago a great deal of excitement about the fact that the constellation of Orion is a hotbed of creative star creation activity. The following day after I had seen the Hubble photographs, my son also called them to my attention. If you have read all of these installments, you should know perfectly well why that area is “seething with activity” as the reporter called it. You can even see fairly distinctly the arc of the giant star behind the nebula. This is the one Abraham called Flos Isis [which I translated as Light Mother]. I wonder how long it will be before astrophysicists wake up to the physical impossibility of the existence of black holes and start recognizing them for the shielded giant stars that they are, and the role they play in not only governing our universe, but begetting and engendering it.
293. The so-called “Book of Aker” inscribed on the north wall of the tomb of Ramses VI in the Valley of the Kings at Thebes seems to be the missing “Book of Jasher” mentioned in the Old Testament. It has long been known that the translation of the Hebrew manuscript in the British Museum is not very good, but the Egyptian version has no good translation at all.
294. I don’t think I mentioned these additional aspects of MAA KHERU [“true of voice”] pronounced upon good folks at the Bar of Judgment. In the first degree, it simply means that your voice is perfect for singing at all desired frequencies. So we see there really is something to the notion about “singing the praises of a just God with the heavenly hosts”. So don’t worry if you feel like you haven’t been gifted with a great singing voice in mortality.
295. In the second degree, it means that what you have spoken in the past is true.
296. In the third degree, it means that, having been true and faithful in mortality, and having passed the Bar, henceforth and forever after, the things you say shall come to pass, simply because you said them. The implication here about the purity of your heart, the rationality of your mind, and the propriety of your spirit, is great, that you could be entrusted with such power.
297. I don’t remember if I explained the parable of the marketplace, but I don’t think I did. Since I have never heard a correct explanation, here goes: You recall the basic story - men are called by the Master from the marketplace into His service at various periods during the day. At day’s end, they are all paid the same wage, both those who labored for Him all day, and those who were only called into His service at day’s end. What is the meaning of this, and how is it just? This does not refer to people joining His church, since this is something people can search out and choose for themselves. It refers to callings in His church, over which His followers have absolutely no control. In this parable, the Master assures us that there is no correlation whatsoever between callings and offices in His church, and one’s eternal reward. Every man is rewarded or punished according to his works, and in no case is any man rewarded or punished for something he did not have complete control over. A calling to a position of authority in His church buys us absolutely nothing at the Bar of Judgment. We are all judged by what we did with what we had to work with. This parable demonstrates the utter foolishness of aspiring to any position of authority in His church. A young man once told me “I want to be a bishop!” I said, “Why, Jeff?” “So I can teach the people.” My first thought was that he was a fool, wanting to inflict that on his family. My second thought was that he was utterly ignorant of the nature of church callings. A man called to a higher position is not necessarily more righteous, more intelligent, or more anything than a man in a lower position. My answer to this young man was, “Jeff, if people don’t believe the comments you make in Sunday School as an ordinary member, they will not believe you making the same comment even if you were the president of the church.” The difference is that any person in authority must be deferred to in all matters under his responsibility, as a matter of order and propriety, and he will be held responsible for his conduct in that office, just as we will be held responsible for sustaining him in it. Why any sane person would aspire to that is a complete mystery to me.
I think I’m getting closer to my original intent, of keeping these down to a page. I’ll keep working at it.
298. A bishop’s wife once asked me why there is so much talk of “walking” in the scriptures as a reference to our behavior in this probationary state “walking uprightly”, “walking in all holiness”, “daily walk” and so on. The answer is that in the original language, the character for the second estate, mortality, is a pair of legs walking. It is also means posterity. The serpent losing his legs was a hieroglyph representing Lucifer failing to keep his first estate, therefore he had no second estate, and therefore no posterity, since spirits can not have offspring. It is no surprise, then, that passing the Bar of Judgment is also called being “worthy to stand” as having kept one’s second estate. This also explains the ordinance of washing the feet, and it further explains the ordinance of shaking the dust off of the feet - both are three dimensional hieroglyphs representing being cleansed from the blood and sins of one’s generation in the Second Estate.
299. My 7-year old son once asked why the word “yea” occurs so much in scriptures. The answer is that in the old language there was a word which has no modern equivalent, which was an emphatic conjunction; that is, it meant that not only is the foregoing - what was just said - true, but what follows confirms what preceded. This ancient word was preserved in old Chinese, “ye” which still means “and” but anciently also added emphasis to what was said. It is also preserved in old Russian with archaic expressions such as “schi da kasha pischa nasha” where the word “da” used to be both emphatic and a conjunction, whereas today it has only the affirmative meaning, “yea” or “yes.”
300. Why is “adieu” used in the translation of an ancient Hebrew record? Because it is again an exact translation of which there is no equivalent in modern English, but there is a French word which we borrow which means the same thing. The original word was the locative or directional case of the word “God”. Just as a way of saying “to Jerusalem” was “Yerushalaim-ah” using the directional case, so the single word “God”, Eloah, in its directional case, was ELOHA - “to God” - the exact equivalent of “adieu” and used in exactly the same way.
301. By the way. ELOHA is the direct ancestor of the Hebrew word “Aloha” and was originally only used as a farewell, but like the Italian “ciao” has been extended in its use for both greeting and parting.
302. While we’re on this subject, I should also point out that the Hawaiian word for “priest” - KAHUNA - is likewise a direct descent from the original Hebrew word for priest, COHEN.
303. Once while searching for a book in a Defense Department library, I found a Samoan grammar written in the mid-nineteenth century by a man named Pratt. He was a minister of a protestant church. In his preface, he admitted that he was led to produce this grammar because he was “struck by the similarity” of Samoan grammar with Hebrew grammar.
304. Here’s a discovery my mother shared with me half a century ago. It is commonly known that the plates of Nephi record a catastrophic event shaping the entire face of the South and North American continents - by my calculations, about five to eight o’clock, Mountain Standard Time, on the morning of 4 April 34 A.D, at which time it is apparent to me that Lake Bonneville was drained, the entire Rocky Mountain range formed, the Amazon Basin drained, and the Grand Canyon formed. In August of 1933, my mother, Ora Pate Stewart, having completed a one year mission in the Eastern States for her church, she stayed on another year to write scripts for radio programs in New York City. As part of her research, she stopped in to see Dr. Herbert J. Spinden, who had written several interesting books of his discoveries in Central and South America. Noting the finding of ancient co
