God's Plan for Eternal Life
Getting Back to God
Even though God has a plan for your life, there is a barrier between you
and Him called Sin. Our thoughts, words and actions prove that we
are sinners. The Bible says "all have sinned and come short of the glory
of God"(Romans 3:23). Sin is what causes you to want to live your life by
your own rules rather than God's.
The person truly at peace has learned that true power for life requires a
proper relationship to God.
That is where the Bible enters the picture. The Bible is not, as many
people as many people seem to think, a book of rules impossible to keep.
While the Bible does contain Gods written will for our lives, it also introduces
us to God's Son, Jesus Christ.who alone can give us the power and desire
to live according to Gods will and plan.
In other words, The bible tells us how to get right with God. And when we
get right with God our whole life changes. When Believe in Jesus Christ we
have victory over death. We have eternal life.
The way to eternal life
You realize that you can have the blessings God intended for you by understanding
that:
1) God loves you.
The Bible says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life (John 3:16also John 10:10).
(2) People are sinful and separated from God.
Therefore, we cannot have fellowship with God or receive His full love.
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your
sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear (Isaiah
59:2also Romans 3:23).
(3) Jesus Christ is Gods only provision for our sin.
Jesus died in your placepaying the price for your sin. He rose from
the dead, conquering death. He is the only way to God. Through Him you can
experience Gods love and His plan for your life. God commendeth
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
(Romans5:8also 1 Corinthians 15:3,4).
(4) You must personally believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins (Acts
10:43also Ephesians 2:8; Revelation 3:20). Contrary to what a lot of
people assume, becoming a Christian is not a matter of belonging to a church,
having Christian parents or trying to live a good life. You need to trust
Christ personally
Trust in Jesus Christ
God is eagerly waiting for you to acknowledge you are a sinner and for you
to trust His Son, Jesus, as the One who paid your penalty for sin to give
you eternal life. The Bible says God loves you unconditionally. No matter
what you have done, He loves you. Once you realize God stands ready to forgive
you, the next step is to trust Him with your life. By simply believing
Gods Word and accepting His forgiveness, you begin a new life in Christ.
It was Christ who said, I am come that they might have life, and that
they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). If you want new life,
but have never taken this step of faith, why not do it right now? It is the
only way to find true power for life!
