Hello! My name is Christina and this is a display of a research report I did on Madagascar for my Inter. 1 writing class at EIE. I am homeschooled but I have a great writing teacher, Mrs. Ashford, who has helped me learn a lot:) I hope you will be able to spend some time looking around. Thanks! - 3/19/04
Wow! Thanks to all my friends for supporting me and my site. You guys are awesome. I really apreciate it! - Christina
Madagascar is commonly called The Great Red Island. On this large island, there exists an abundance of unique wildlife and vegetation, within its amazing geography. Historically, Madagascar, which was colonized by the French in 1886, gained its independence in 1960. Since then, Madagascar’s economy has continued to be mainly agricultural. Changing to modern ways slowly, Madagascar’s people have kept their traditional arts alive.
