Joe DiMaggio, who was voted baseballs greatest living player in 1969, held many records still unbroken, and married American idol Marilyn Monroe, died on March 8, 1999 at age 84.
People described Joe as not being made for the game, but the game being made for him. They say that he played with so much grace and talent that it was obvious he was the greatest baseball player to have ever played the game.
