Denver, Colorado – This is an All Points Bulletin released by the Denver Metro Police Department. It seems there has been a kidnapping in the metro area. The victim is said to be a small bear approximately sixteen inches tall, weighing approximately two pounds, with light brown hair, and dark eyes. The victim was last seen on Thursday August 18, 2005 in the Lakewood area, west of Denver, at approximately Twelve p.m. Mountain Standard Time. The victim was wearing a light gray T-shirt, faded blue jeans, dark brown cowboy boots, and a brown cowboy hat.

To the left is a picture of the said victim, taken the day of its disappearance. The outfit of clothes shown is the same outfit the bear was last seen wearing. The perpetrator is believed to be Sarah Elizabeth Flower, 28, of the Houston, Texas area. It is believed that the bear is possibly being kept against its will somewhere in the Houston area. The perpetrator is approximately five foot, three inches tall, and about 105 pounds. Hair is medium blond, cut a little above the shoulder, and wears glasses. The perpetrator is known to be seen wearing scrubs, possibly as a front to claim a job as a nursing home aid, but the true profession is bear theft. She is also seen mostly in “knicker pants” a.k.a “Capri’s.” Sarah is seldom seen frequenting the popular fast food chains "Popeye's Chicken" and "Sonic Drive-In's." Sarah has quickly earned the nickname “Build-A-Bear Bandit.”

John Walsh, the host of “America’s Most Wanted” said in a report, “This is the most vicious crime one can commit. This is a terrible disgrace to humanity. What kind of world do we live in when one person’s bear is not even safe? I sympathize for the victim’s family whole-heartedly. I truly hope the find the cruel individual, and lock them up, away from society, where they belong”

President George W. Bush made a statement to The Associated Press stating that this is a top priority. He has called on the National Guard, as well as all other branches of the military. He has even offered to pull troops out of Iraq to bring them back home to help with the search for this poor, defenseless victim, and get this terrible bear thief off the streets. President Bush said in his statement ”We need to find this poor, defenseless bear, and return it to the rightful owner. We need to get this horrific crime solved, and the perpetrator off the streets so the American people to rest peacefully again at night, and get back to their normal lives. As far as I am concerned, this is higher on the priority list that Osama Bin Laden, and we have changed the terror alert to Code Red”

This is a picture of the believed perpetrator. If you see this person, DO NOT attempt to apprehend on your own. Contact the proper authorities, as this person can be armed, and dangerous. Sometimes seen brandishing a hot curling iron, or some similar styling product capable of burning, or worse, smothering the victim in the horrible stench of burnt popcorn. Please be aware of this person’s full capability. She may appear to be a sweet, innocent, girl, but that is a clever disguise to lure people in, and steal their bears. Please call the proper authorities, where you can remain anonymous, and even placed in a witness protection plan if necessary. The victim’s family released a statement yesterday, thanking the entire country for their support, and help to bring this bear thief to justice.
