The African Grasslands

The tempature in the grasslands, called Sahel by the natives, has a average tempture in the mid to upper sixties. The area has a wide range of rainfall amounts, ranging from ten inches to twenty eight inches. The grasslands are very flat and contains the fertile delta of Niger. The Sahel's wildlife is constantly on the move, looking for water and what is left of the very little vegetation. Elephants and giraffes frequently raid farmers' plots for food. But tough living conditions mean you're more likely to see herds of cattle, sheep and goats. Rodents already reign as the region's most common animal.

Both of these animals are commonly found in the Sahel. The animal on the left is a giraffe, and the one on the right is a Worthog.
