Info on Stephen's Books
Carrie- a girl who has telekenetic powers and gets revenge on a couple of school kids.
'Salem's Lot- A native writer, returns to his hometown to write a book on a house. Little does he know that the house is controlled by a vampire, named Mr. Barlow.
Rage- A lonely teacher, holds his Algebra class at gunpoint after shooting two teachers.
The Shining- One of King's greatest ever written. About a family of three, living the winter in the Overlook hotel in Colorado. Their young son, begins to see horrifying visions and must save the family.
Night Shift- a collection of short stories.
The Stand- the best King book ever written. About a super-flu that wipes out 99% of the human population, the other one percent must do battle against one of King's greatest villians, Randall Flagg.
The Long Walk- A contest, to walk across America. The rules are simple, walk to slow, get a warning, four warnings, and your out! Literally, by the way of a bullet.
The Dead Zone- A man, wakes up from a coma to find he has supernatural powers, and can see peoples past.
Firestarter- A young girl and her father excape from a government Nazi's. The girl must learn to supress her Pyrokenetic powers.
Roadwork- The city decides to expand the local highway, the only thing standing in their way is a couple of buildings. When the head of the construction site get's fired, he decided to buy guns and explosives and take matters into his own hands.
Cujo- Based upon a dog, that King knew as a child. Cujo is happy with his life, until he get's rabies and traps a mother and her younger son in their car, without escape.
Danse Macabre- non-fiction, dealing with the horror in books, movies and television.
Creepshow- a comic book selection of short stories.
The Gunslinger- The first of the DT series, you first meet Roland, the last gunslinger on his way to find "the man in black".
Different Seasons- A collection of short stories, all taking place at different times of the year.
Christine- A 1958 Plymouth Fury is awaiting an owner, only to posess a young and dumb Arnie Cunningham. Will his friends stop him?
et Sematary- When Louis Creeds baby boy gets hit by a car he tries to save him by burying him near the Pet Sematary.
Cycle of the Werewolf- a town is being attacked by a werewolf, it is up to a handicapped boy to save the town.
The Talisman(with Peter Straub)- In order to save his mother and the world, jack must find the talsman. It is the only object to save her and the world.
Thinner- A horrifying story of a man, who has a gypsy put a curse on him. The curse: Getting Thinner
Eyes of the Dragon- Another mentioning of Randall Flagg. This tale, set in a land where dragons sill roam, the King is wrongfully accused and must see the only answer in the eyes of the dragon.
Skeleton Crew- A collection of short stories
The Bachman Books-
IT- one of King's most well known books. A group of young kids gather their strengths and fight an unknown evil. Thirty years later they must come together to do the final battle between good and evil.
The Drawing of the Three: DT 3- Roland continues his journey towards the Tower meeting new people as he goes.
Misery- A famous writer meets his number one fan. But there is one problem, Paul Sheldon is trapped inside her house and must bring back her favorite character to life, again.
The Tommyknockers- A spaceship is found in a nereby forest by a writer. Now the townsfolk are changing and murder takes the lives of many.
The Dark Half- Another famous writer has writer's block and tries to overcome it writing under a different name. George Stark. The books are a suscess, so he tries to bury Stark, but Stark won't have it, he must keep writing.
The Stand: Complete and Uncut- the same story, only with different characters and goes more in depth to the characters.
Four Past Midnight- a book of four long-short stories.
Needful Things- A new store opens in town, making awfully good buisness. But once and again people start behaving strangely. When a murder is commited, the sheriff finds it hard to keep order in town.
The Wastelands: DT 3- Roland and his group continue. Once they come upon a mechanical bear, and once it is defeated they can continue with their journey.
Dolores Claiborne - A woman convicted of murder tells a story.
Geralds Game A woman is trapped alone in her bedroom latched by handcuffs. This is a story of courage and definatly meant for women.
Nightmares and Dreamscapes - A collection of short stories.
Rose Madder - A battered wife gets revenge on her husband.
The Green Mile - a conviced felon awaites his time at a state pennetentary, but is he really guilty. Now he must pay with his life for the thing he didn't do.
Desperation - A rather large book. The town of Desperation is taken over by an evil force. Can a small boy defeat him or not?
The Regulators - the other side of the story Desperation. The same villain is back, but this time he takes over a street. Making it like an old television show.
The Wizard and Glass DT: 4 - Roland continues. This time revealing the Captain Tripps plague. Mother Abagail and the Dark Man are still here.
Bag of Bones- A well known writer, Mike Noonan, suffers from major writer's block. He decides to retreat to the cabin by the lake, for two reasons. To mourn the death of his wife Johanna. And to begin writing, but can he escape from this hell?
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon - A family retreats again to the woods in hopes to bond the family together. Trisha, 9, needing to go pee, takes the wrong trail and get's lost. Now she needs to find her way back.
Hearts in Atlantis - A collection of stories all tying together. They all take place in different times, and the one thing is the Vietnam war.
On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft - A non-fiction book about writing.
Dreamcatcher - written in long hand, Stephen's book which is over 600 pages long. A group of chilhood friends come together to go hunting. But when a stranger wanders into their camp wierd things begin to happen. Now it is up to Jonesy and Henry to save the world from alien invasion.
Everythings Eventual - A collection of short stories.
From a Buick 8 - An old Buick is kept in an old millitary compound and again, strange things happen. People start getting killed in it and strange lights start appearing, from the Buick.
OH NO!!!!!! Stephen King is really retiring, as heard on the today show. He will work on the last of the Dark Tower Series and end with Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower. That means no more entertainment for the decades to come, but we will all still have his books and movies(even though they are not so great) to remember all the good times we had with him.
