On December 7, 1941, one of the most devestating attacks in the history
of the United States of America occurred. The Japanese government launched a surprise attack on the United States at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Nearly 2,500 Americans were killed. This attack marked the decision
of the U.S. to join the allied forces in World War II.
