CORY SAUTER
gained celebrated Playboy Magazine's Anson
Mount Scholar/Athlete Award in 1997 and also integrated 126 of 234
passes (53.8 percent) for 1,576 yards and eight touchdowns as a
senior. He correspondingly scored thrice on a career-high 129
rushing attempts and tossed for a season-high 368 yards on 23 of 35
attempts with three touchdowns and added 57 yards on 19 rushes with
scores of six and 13 yards against Houston. He bracketed on 16 of 25
passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-12 decision over
Indiana.
In 1996, as a junior he fetched sterling All-Big 10 Conference. For
his competitiveness on the field and in the classroom he also became
the recipient of the Butch Nash Award. He Completed 23 of 35
attempts for 397 yards and a couple of scores in a 26-23 victory
over
Ball
State. He achieved 319 yards on 26 of 40 passes with two touchdowns
against Purdue and pitched for 283 yards on 23 of 36 attempts
against Michigan. |
