Below are some short mp3's of the new bass. Hopefully you'll be able to get an idea of what it sounds like.
These two mp3's are from recordings of a jam with Corey, Ben, and Matt at Eastman.
The settings on the
amp are: EQ, Enhance, Bass, Treble, Crossover, Balance, Shelving knobs all at 12'o-clock (Flat).
The settings on the bass are: both pickups on
full, bass all the way up, treble and mid eq's at center detent.
Settings on the amp are the same except that
the enhance knob was backed off almost entirely.
The settings on the bass are also the same except that only the bridge pickup is selected.
This was recorded with the setup seen in the photo above. Bridge pickup only.
This was recorded directly into the computer from the bass, with the bass onboard preamp OFF.
With the preamp OFF, there is no tone-shaping available
(no passive tone controls): this is the bass' unprocessed tone.
Both pickups equally blended.
