Reflections on this experience

COM/516

This course was certainly an introduction! It dealt with writing and research issues. It was not a very difficult course, but it was labor intensive, especially for someone who had not written a research paper in quite a long time.

EDTC/510

This course was quite interesting, getting into some broad subject matter of learning and teaching styles as well as the components of a distance education program.

EDD/511

One of my favorite courses, I was able to relate to the content matter in this course more than previous courses because I teach adult learners. Learning styles were covered in depth.

CUR/524

Another of my favorites, this course took us into the world of writing objectives, planning out a course, and introduced assessment.

EDTC/526

Picking up where Instructional Design left off, this intensive course focused on determining whether or not the instruction itself was effective through assessing and evaluating the learner. I enjoyed this class very much and learned many techniques that I am using in my classrooms.

QNT/540

Without a doubt this was one of the more frustrating courses I have taken thus far. This course focused on statistical methods, statistical computations, analysis, and presentation. I utilize basic statistics on a daily basis, and teach basic statistics, but this course just did not click for me.

EDTC/550

This course was of particular interest to me because though I use computers on a daily basis, there was much I did not know, particularly terminology and operating systems.

EDTC/555

This course was much like EDTC/510 which deals with how education is provided in a distance environment. I found this course to be interesting and actually a lot of fun. It was a good lead in to this current class, EDTC/560.
