First Aid is the emergency care given to the sick or injured person… First Aid should not take the place of proper medical attention and treatment.

Two types of wounds
Open: An open wound is a break in the skin or the mucous membrane.
Close: A close wound involves injury to underlying tissues without a break in the skin or a mucous membrane.
Five kinds of open wounds
Abrasions: The outer layers of the skin are damaged. This type of wound usually results when the skin is scraped against a hard surface.
Incisions: An incision wound, or cut, frequently occurs when body tissue is cut on knifes, rough edges of metal, broken glass or other sharp objects.
Laceration: A lacerated wound has jagged, irregular or blunt breaking and tearing of soft tissues, and is usually cause when great force is exerted against the body.
Punctures: An object piercing skin layers, creating a small hole in the tissues produces A puncture wound. Puncture-producing objects include bullets and pointed objects, such as nails, pins, and splinters.
Avulsions: An avulsed or torn from the victim's body.
