My Guardian Angel

 I know bad things happen to other people, once in a while
But I never imagined it would happen to me,
 I thought my life would be as long as the Nile
Then I knew I needed someone to help me see,

I needed them to help me see the way I was living
I was living on the edge.
It was all receiving and no giving
And it made a wedge...

It made a wedge in and on me
I was not the person I once was,
And I began to see... 
 I began to see what she does,

She does many things, by she I'm meaning my angel
My guardian angel.
What a site to see
With beautiful white wings and a gold halo,

The most beautiful woman I've ever seen
Was the angel who was watching over me,
She had sparkling blue eyes and was so lean
And I knew she held the key...

The key to unlocking what I had been waiting for
I was waiting for the person I was supposed to be...
And there was the answer laying on my floor
It was me.

I was on the floor not knowing where to turn
And my guardian angel knew where to look,
And I knew I needed to learn
Learn what you could not find in a book,

I had to find me, the real me
And it had to be sometime soon,
Because if I didn't find me quick I wouldn't know where to be
And I looked up into the night sky and into the moon,

And said to all of mankind
I was who I was looking for,
It was a great find
And as I turned to my door...

There she stood, my beautiful guardian angel 
And I knew she would take care of me,
Because that was the reason she was there 
And that was the way it was meant to be.
