Singapore. A 23-YEAR-OLD dancer who went topless during a show at Venom disco last Saturday is being investigated by the police for exposing herself in public.

But she has since been released on $2,000 police bail pending further inquiry.
The alleged offence was committed that night during a body-art show which was meant to promote a new alcoholic drink called Tattoo.
During the performance at the disco in Pacific Plaza, Scotts Road, the dancer strutted onstage with a group of other dancers, dressed in a white long-sleeved shirt, torn fish- net stockings and a G-string.
She took off her shirt, allegedly, in front of the crowd later.

Dancer charged with baring breasts
A DANCER was charged in court yesterday with exposing herself.
Khairani Abdul Khalik, 22, allegedly took off her top and bared her chest at Venom discotheque at Scotts Road at about 11 pm on Nov 18 last year.
She looked calm when the charge was read out to her.
No plea was taken.
Her counsel, Mr Yahya Syed, sought an adjournment so that he could take further instructions from his client. The case will be mentioned again on March 28.
According to media reports, Khairani danced topless for about five minutes at the nightspot, wearing only a pair of torn fishnet stockings and a sequinned G-string.
She allegedly also had nipple rings, one on each breast, with a chain between them.
If found guilty, Khairani can be jailed for up to three months and fined $2,000.

Dancer fined $1,000 for baring breasts
She removed her shirt in the middle of a body-art show last year
A FREELANCE dancer who bared her breasts at a disco during a product-promotion show last year was fined $1,000 yesterday.
Khairani Abdul Khalik, 22, had removed her shirt during an event called 'Tattoo Convention' at Venom discotheque in Scotts Road on Nov 18 last year.
The event was a body-art show to promote a new alcoholic drink called Tattoo.
At about 11 pm, Khairani, who wore only an oversized white T-shirt and a black G-string, suddenly removed her shirt, exposing her breasts to the audience. A magistrate's court heard that Khairani then walked off the stage without putting on her attire.
Yesterday, defence counsel Yahya Syed said his client had been engaged to perform for $80.
The lawyer said the offence happened in front of an adult crowd late at night. Also, nobody stopped Khairani when she took off her clothes.
Mr Yahya said Khairani, who is single, is remorseful and said the publicity had affected her and her family.
Meanwhile, the managing director of a company which runs Venom discotheque will appear in court on May 9 for allegedly providing public entertainment without a licence.
John Li Lee, 38, is accused of engaging models for the event without approval from the authorities.
He is also accused of failing to report an offence when Khairani danced topless at the same event.
