The paramedics' base station is located here, so this
area is always a hub of activity. At any given time, it may resemble a madhouse,
an oasis, or a battlefield, depending on the circumstances.
Dixie McCall, the ER's head nurse, is the person who holds everything together. Many times a day, her
indispensable skills make the difference between lives saved and lost.
Emergency! fans are saddened by the news that Julie London has passed away.
