ROCKY MOUNTAIN ARSENAL
At one time the arsenal was a military post. Several years ago it was closed. At that time it was very polluted and waste water was pumped into the ground which caused earthquakes quite frequently. One of which I did not enjoy back in the late 1960's. Over a period of time the grounds have been cleaned up and is now a nature preserve. There is a buffalo herd there. Also, the deer and the antelope play. Wild animals and birds thrive there. Inside they have a bee tree which has a hive in it. There is a tube going out the wall so the bees can come and go. Although, today, I only saw a deer and an eagle. For some reason the place has restrictions now and when you go in you have to sign a contract saying you will not use other roads and only go to the visitor's center. OR you go to jail.
