FLIGHT PHYSICALS with DR. ROBERT LEOPOLD
I have been performing all classes of flight physicals for over thirty years. You can often get an appointment the
same day. Waiting time is minimal. My function is to help you get your pilot's license, not to flunk you. Even if
you have a medical condition we can often help get your medical certificate from the FAA. Therefore you will be
able to fly.
A flight physical consists of a full body exam with an emphasis on vision. Medical history is very important. Significant findings such as heart disease, seizures, etc. require further evaluation before a pilot is eligible to fly.
Flight physicals are generally not a covered benefit under most insurance plans. If you have significant medical disorder you are referred to the proper specialist for evaluation. Following the specialist examination, in which a form provided by the FAA thru me is completed, then submitted with your examination to the FAA, your medical certificate will be issued if you are authorized by them to fly.
