THE KH-640 HF MOBILE ANTENNA

The KH-640 is a new antenna designed to work all bands from 6 meters to 40 meters with an SWR of less than 2.0:1 over entire range, typically less than 1.5:1. This antenna was also designed so it can be magnet mounted for convenience. It may also be mounted in any conventional manner. It includes a light weight aluminum mast 18" long. We have designed a new quick disconnect for the base of the KH-640. This base makes it exceptionally easy to remove from a heavy duty magnet mount or a fixed mount in a matter of seconds. There is no additional antenna support required for the KH-640 antenna. The KH-640 instruction manual will show you how to build an antenna mount. You must supply your own whip. For good all-round performance a 42" whip works well. A 29"-32" whip will work well from 54MHz to 14MHz. This short whip will make the overall antenna height 49". Tuning is accomplished in the same manner as for the KH-600.
