Oily Hair
If you suffer from oily hair, you're certainly not alone. Many people have oily hair, and consequently, there are many remedies. One thing you probably didn't know is that a dry scalp can cause oily hair. I
know, it sounds completely contradictory, but it really is the case. When your scalp is dry, it tries to produce more oil to compensate; you wash more because of more oil, further drying your scalp. It's a
vicious circle that needs to be broken! There's really an easy way to do this: Skip the harsh shampoos. Try switching to baby shampoo or a gentle one like Aveda or Neutrogena. Since these shampoos are gentler
on your scalp, they give your scalp a chance to "rest" from so much over-production of oil. Less oil, you won't need to over-wash so much. It will probably take a little while for your hair and scalp to
adjust to the new treatment, but it will be worth it in the long run.

Highlighting - If you want to go for highlights in your hair, opt for a natural look, since that's what highlighting really is. If you're blonde, blonde highlights of a lighter or darker color, or both, will look natural. That is, if you stay away from streaking your hair with white, of course! A strawberry blonde highlight will also look nice. For redheads, highlight with honey blondes and lighter reds. Deeper reds also look smashing, and give depth and a sharp look. Remember that grey hair accepts color differently than your regular color hair, so when you're highlighting and you have grey in your hair, you'll have a "textured" look, which can be very pleasing.
Tight Pants - Let me sum it up for you right now: Don't do it!
Almost nobody looks good in extremely tight pants, and they aren't
even comfortable! Why put yourself through that torture?
A few decades ago, skintight pants were "in," but these days, a more
relaxed, comfortable fit is what it's about. Besides, who wants to be
jockeying around his boxers (no pun intended) to get them in the right
spot under those tight pants?
Wearing fitted pants is fine, such as chinos. They are fitted (as
opposed to sweatpants, which are not), yet you have room to move and
breathe. A good rule of thumb is that if you can sit and bend
comfortably, the pants fit fine. If you bend over and can't breathe,
or if you sit and feel smushed, pick a different style or size.
There are, of course, exceptions to every rule. If you're going
clubbing, a tight pair of leather pants might be just the ticket. For
everyday use, though, or for work, stick with the relaxed or straight
cut slacks. You'll be glad you did.
