Seattle's Second Coming broke up in 1995 after releasing an album in the early '90s and enjoying mild success on the local club scene. But after nearly three years of silence, the band was resurrected and is now enjoying, well, a second coming.
Returning with original members Yanni Bacolas on bass and drummer James Bergstrom, the return of Second Coming also brought vocalist Travis Brecht and former Sweetwater guitarist Dudley Taft into the fold. The re-formed band immediately gained attention in the Seattle scene for their style of hard, bluesy rock. Drawing many comparisons to fellow Rain City natives Alice in Chains, the band even got help from AIC vocalist Layne Staley who appeared at several of Second Coming's live shows. The band was quickly signed to Capitol Records and released their eponymous second album.
