Hello fellow band and orchestra alumni!
While I cannot think of too much interesting to write at this time, I do feel that you at least are entitled to this very cool jazz band picture---the last undamaged picture and one of a series of professional shots displayed on the bandroom walls. The above photo was taken in 1975.
I was in town one day in the late 1980s, when I thought to visit our alma mater. Coincidentally, my nolstalgic drop-in happened to be on the morning of our band room's first remodeling (or D-Day if you like). To my horror, the workers were stoically tearing these beautiful treasures off the walls and then dumping the little pieces into waiting trash bins. Ack! I just about knocked the painter off his ladder, scrambling up to beat him to this last photo. Man, is nothing sacred anymore???
