Ted is the youngest of three brothers. His oldest brother Ivan is a doctor as well as a Screenwriter (Army of Darkness and Darkman). His next oldest brother Sam is an accomplished producer and director, including Army of Darkenss, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and Xena: Warrior Princess.
Ted's father had his own home funishing store and his mom owned a chain of lingerie boutiques. Ted decided rather than take over either family business, he would follow his brother Sam into show business. He moved to Los Angeles in 1988 and moved in with Sam. Ted started appearing as an extra in Sam's early films and from there he landed a variety of movie and TV roles. He began with a series of industrial films in Detroit. He enjoys playing villans or out-of-the-ordinary roles because he finds them the most challenging. But Ted is best known for his roles of Lt. (j.g.) Tim O'Neill in seaQuest and Joxer the Mighty in Xena: Warrior Princess.
Ted has also tried his hand at other aspects of show business. He co-wrote an episode of seaQuest called Lostland, and he also has been written and produced a live action/animated series called Normal Joe.
