"Uh, Ryan. What are you doing here?" Dean stammered as he turned and realized that the voice behind him belonged to his roommate.
"Not as much as you are, apparently." Ryan got a cold look in his eyes as he stared at Dean and Shannon. "I knew that Nicole and Chris went out tonight, so I dropped by to see if you wanted to do anything, Shannon. Obviously Mr. Smooth Talker here beat me to it."
"Ryan, I don't understand. What's wrong with you?" Shannon responded, trying to take in the whole situation.
"Nothing, he's just jealous that I'm here with a beautiful woman and he's stuck at home sitting on his butt and squeezing his blackheads." Dean retorted.
"You're the one who has more women than a leopard has spots." Ryan's face was starting to turn red.
"Oh, excuse me. I didn't see you're name carved on her forehead."
"Guys! Please." Shannon was finding the whole situation somewhat amusing, but thought it best not to show it. "Now Ryan, I was home earlier tonight and Dean dropped by. He was nice enough to offer to show me around town."
"He was willing to show you a bit more than that, I bet." Ryan muttered.
"What is your problem?" Dean asked bluntly.
"My problem is you." Ryan retorted.
"Me? What did I do?" Dean responded.
"Uh, Dean, it's getting late. Perhaps you should walk me home now." Shannon interrupted before things got any worse."
"That sounds like a good idea." Dean agreed. "We should let Ryan cool off a bit."
"I'm not finished with you yet Dean." Ryan seethed.
"You are for now." Dean took Shannon's hand in his and lead her in the direction of her house. "Come on, let's get you home."
Scene 6:
It was bright and early the next morning at the Widow Twanky's dance studio. She was teaching some of her female students, when all of a sudden she began to smell something unpleasant.
"What is that awful smell?" Twanky said in disgust, as she put her hand over her nose.
"I, uh...I think it's *him*." One of her students said, pointing at Willard. Twanky turned and saw him standing there smiling. "Oh my, yes today is his first dance lesson isn't it?" Twanky thought aloud. Her students began to giggle.
"Well girls, we shall have to pick this up another time. As you can see, this man needs much work in our field of dance!" Twanky exclaimed loudly. The girls began to gather their things, and left.
"I've been looking forward to this Twanky." Willard smiled and showed off his new set of teeth.
"Yes, yes." Twanky replied, uninterested. "But please make sure to bathe next time! We dancers know of a concept called hygiene! If you are unsure about what this entails, I'm sure I could find you some informational pamphlets."
"I...I did bathe." Willard answered in defense. "It's cologne you smell!"
"Oh my! You should definitely take it back and ask for a complete refund! It smells as if it were from a sewer!"
Willard frowned. Just then, a guy and girl walked into the studio.
"OOOOOOOH HELLO!" Twanky said in excitement. "Two of my finest students! What may Twanky do for you today?"
"We were wondering if we could practice for the upcoming recital." The girl asked.
"Oh yes, yes! As I always say, practice makes perfect!" She said to them then turned to Willard. "Pay no mind to them, they are advanced students. You are by no means ready to learn anything which requires so much skill. With you we'll try the simplest things first. Although those will probably prove too difficult for you!"
Twanky looked at Willard, and struggled with where to start!
"Well, let's put one foot in front of the other, shall we?" It was all she could think of!
But Willard wanted to impress his beloved Twanky, and not bother with all this simple stuff. He looked at the guy and girl practicing, and he saw the guy dip her. A light bulb went on inside Willard's head. This would impress his Twanky! He took Twanky into his arms and dipped her!
Twanky let out a scream. Willard was bent over Twanky and flashed a big smile. However when he smiled at her, his new set of teeth fell out - right onto Twanky's chest! Twanky cried out in horror, and Willard reached for his teeth. Seeing his hands coming towards her chest, she screamed again.
"Don't touch me you hooligan!"
"Oh Twanky...I'm...I'm..." Willard struggled to apologize in utter embarrassment.
"You can show yourself out!" Twanky said in complete disgust. The dancing couple attempted to cover their laughter as Willard grabbed his teeth.
"Well I should hope you're not going to put those back in your mouth after they have been on the floor with the dirt and grime! Have you no concept of germs?" Twanky proclaimed.
Willard gave Twanky one last look, and ran out clutching his teeth.
"Oh dear me, what a day! I can only hope that tonight goes better." Twanky went into the back to change.
Scene 7:
Nicole and Shannon sat around in the living room watching in amazement at the flurry of activity in front of them, otherwise known as the Widow Twanky. She was rushing around the room trying to make sure everything was perfect. The actual séance was going to occur around the table in the dining room, but Twanky said that Sal might be upset to see what a mess the girls had let the rest of the house get.
"Soooooooo, is Chris coming?" Shannon asked Nicole as Twanky went whizzing past and into the dining room. "You never told me how your date went."
"I don't want to talk about it." Nicole scowled. "I called and asked Ryan to come, and I assume he asked Dean and Chris as well."
"Uh oh, Ryan and Dean." Shannon muttered. Just then they heard yelling coming from the other room.
"3 feet of personal space, can you at least give me that?"
"I was only trying to help." Twanky said indignantly, "You don't have to be so snooty you know. I happen to know a thing or two about seances. I am a professional!"
"Then how come you begged me to come?" A male voice sounded back, "Now stand back! I have much work to do."
"I don't know about you, but I am not going in there." Shannon expressed her feelings to her sister. "Tell me again why we agreed to let those loonies into our house?"
"Come on Shannon. It's only for a few hours. You know as well as I do that Twanky wouldn't give us a moments peace until we agreed to do it. Let's just humor her, okay?"
"Ah ha!" the male voice sounded once more, "Now I've got you. You thought you were such a slippery spirit didn't' you?"
"Okay, I'll humor her, but you owe me big time." Shannon rolled her eyes as the doorbell rang.
"Can you get that? I'm going to go into the other room and make sure they aren't ruining anything." Nicole walked into the dining room.
"Good idea." Shannon replied as she opened the door and found Chris standing there. "Hi Chris." She smiled flirtatiously. "I'm glad you could come, I may need to you to hold my hand--"
"Is Nicole here?" Chris interrupted as he stepped inside and scanned the room.
"Uh, yeah. She's in the other room." Shannon replied discouraged.
"I think I should go talk to her." Chris seemed to be agitated as he walked towards the door to the dining room.
"Chris wait. What happened between you two last night?" Shannon asked, "Nicole didn't want to talk about it."
"Uh, well...to tell you the truth I'm not sure yet." He turned around to look at Shannon and his voice sounded desperate. "That's why I need to talk to her."
Suddenly the doorbell rang again. "Hang on a second. I think I may have the answer to that one." Shannon replied sympathetically.
This time when she opened the door she saw Ryan and Dean in a heated argument. When they saw that she had opened the door, both of them turned to her and smiled. "Hi Shannon!"
"Hi Dean. Hi Ryan" Shannon smiled back at them. "Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah sure, no problem. We were just arguing over who has to clean out the goldfish bowl tonight, weren't we Ryan?" Dean poked Ryan in the side with his elbow. "Uh, yeah. Dean just loves to clean out that goldfish bowl. He's always hogging the fun from the rest of us." Ryan replied.
"Um…okay." Shannon said giving them a confused look. "Why don't you guys come on in.? We're just getting things set up."
"She said my name first." Dean bragged to Ryan as they walked inside.
"Well, everything seems to be in one piece." Nicole announced as she walked in from the dining room.
Chris' eyes lit up when he saw Nicole enter the room. "Hi Nicole."
Nicole's face went ashen and she fixed her eyes on the floor. She started to open her mouth as if she was going to say something to Chris when the doorbell rung a third time. "I'll get that. Shannon, why don't you take the guys into the other room and introduce them to Twanky's friend Joel."
"Sure thing." Shannon replied sensing that Nicole wasn't in the mood to argue with her. "Wait till you get a load of this guy. He's weirder than Twanky, if you can believe that."
Ryan and Dean stayed close at Shannon's heels as she walked into the dining room. Chris looked over his shoulder at Nicole. Finally he turned and followed them into the other room.
As Nicole opened the door, she saw Ted and Renee. "Hey. Thanks for coming."
"It sounded like so much fun, how could we refuse? Right, Ted?" Renee gushed.
"Uh, yeah." Ted said sarcastically, "It sounded so much more fun than watching a stupid old ballgame."
"Ted," Renee had a stern sound to her voice that Ted understood perfectly, "be nice."
"Don't worry about it Ted. Hopefully this won't take too long. Everyone else is here. Follow me to the dining room and we'll get started."
