"Wally!" screamed Willard as he ran into their apartment and slammed the door. He looked through the peephole and then quickly crouched down behind the door. "Wally! You've got to help me!"
Wally didn't even look up from his seat on the couch where he was watching professional wrestling on television. "Oh, hi Willard."
"I come in here screaming and all you can do is say 'Oh, hi Willard'?" he yelled back.
"Sorry. Um, welcome home Willard." Wally responded, still not even turning around to look at his brother.
"That's not much better Wally," Willard replied as he risked another look through the peephole. He quickly crouched back down and then whispered angrily, "Don't you want to know why I am yelling?"
"Not particularly," Wally yawned. "Besides I'm watching the big wrestling championship between Jessie 'The Body' Snatcher and Hulk Hoggie. You were supposed to be here to watch this with me, remember?"
Willard, visibly frustrated, crawled across the floor and started pulling down all the shades in the living room. Then he made his way over to the TV and shut it off.
"Hey!" cried Wally. "I was watching that!"
"Shhhh!" Willard shushed him. "If you aren't quiet she'll know I'm in here."
"Who will know you're in here?" Wally asked finally turning to look at his brother who was racing across the floor to shut off the lights.
"Her!" Willard whispered sternly as he pointed at the door. "That mad woman, Hudson. She can't keep her hands off me."
"I thought that's what you wanted. That's what you bought that stupid love potion for, wasn't it?" Wally replied. "Now please, turn back on the lights. You know you're afraid of the dark."
"I meant it for my lovely and beautiful Twanky," he responded, "but this psycho woman drank it instead. Now I'm in awful trouble Wally."
"That's what you get for trying something stupid, like falling in love. Maybe you'll listen to me from now on," Wally scolded him. He was about ready to say more when he realized he had never seen his brother so scared in his life. Not even when the boys in Mrs. O'Brien's third grade class told him that there was an alligator living in school sewer system and if he tried to use the toilet the alligator would bite off something that Willard didn't want to lose. Willard wet his pants three times before Mrs. O'Brien was able to straighten him out.
"Okay Willard," Wally continued, but this time in a warmer, calmer voice, "come and sit on the couch and we'll talk. But for God's sake, turn on the light. I don't want you having another panic attack."
"No," Willard replied as he stumbled his way over to the couch and sat down, "she might see the light under the door."
"Fine," Wally humored his brother, "now tell me what the heck is going on."
"Sure," Willard responded, "but can I ask you for a favor first?"
"What?" inquired Wally, his patience wearing thin.
"Can you get me my teddy bear?" Willard asked quietly, "I'm scared. It’s too dark in here."
Wally sighed. "This is going to be a long night," he muttered as he went in search of Willard's teddy.
Scene: 6
Renee walked into the bathroom. Shannon heard the door and wiped her eyes.
"Hi Renee, I was just coming out."
"Are you ok?" Renee asked with a look of worry.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Shannon replied.
"Because of what happened out there with Ryan." Renee answered softly.
"Yeah well things just didn't work out between us." Shannon threw a tissue into the wastebasket.
"Do you want to talk about it? You know you can always talk to me if you need to." Renee said in a reassuring and kind voice.
"Thank you, but I don't think I'm ready yet." Shannon said.
Renee nodded. "Whenever you're ready."
"My life isn't as perfect as my sisters." Shannon scowled.
"Oh I'm so happy for her and Chris!" Renee exclaimed. "They are so cute together!"
Shannon rolled her eyes but Renee didn't see.
"I think they are soulmates, I don't see anything ever breaking them up." Renee continued.
"Really...” Shannon said with a grin, thinking.
"Yes, they are perfect for each other. Like Ted and I." Renee gushed, thinking of him. "And don't worry, you will find that perfect someone too! Actually, Ted has a cousin by the name of Wiley, that he'd be glad to introduce you to!"
"Um, no thanks." Shannon said immediately. "I probably shouldn't jump into anything so soon."
"Oh I understand." Renee agreed. "Well how about that pizza, and maybe we can go shopping afterwards? I know Ted will want to get home to do his yard work! He's so proud of our lawn!"
"Sure that sounds good." Shannon answered and they walked out.

Ted walked over to Ryan and Alexis. He smiled at Alexis and looked at Ryan. "Can I talk to you for a couple of minutes?"
"Well Alexis and I were just about..." Ryan started but Alexis looked at her watch and interrupted him.
"Oooh I have to get to class anyway. I'm so sorry Ryan I forgot!"
"It's ok, I'll call you tonight?" Ryan said and took her hand.
"I'll be waiting by the phone." Alexis blushed, and kissed him.
"Bye Ryan..." She smiled and ran out happily.
"What's going on Ryan?" Ted asked concerned.
"Nothing's going on, I was having lunch with my girlfriend."
"Girlfriend!?" Ted inquired.
"Yeah, Alexis." Ryan answered.
"What about Shannon?" Ted asked confused.
"What about her? She's not my girlfriend." Ryan implied.
"I see..." Ted raised an eyebrow. "So you have no feelings for her whatsoever?"
"Nope." Ryan shook his head.
"I don't believe you Ryan." Ted said seriously.
"Fine, but it's true." Ryan snapped back.
"You wanted her to see you with Alexis. Trying to make her jealous I'm thinking." Ted went on.
"No, I wasn't, I didn't even know she was here." Ryan lied.
"Ryan, you kept looking over at her." Ted responded.
"Yeah ok maybe I did want to make her jealous ok? And why shouldn't I, after what she did." Ryan answered quite upset.
"What did she do?" Ted asked and sat down.
"She was seeing Dean and I at the same time! She used me." Ryan grabbed a chair and sat down.
"Isn't that what you're doing to Alexis?" Ted inquired.
"I like Alexis." Ryan looked at Ted.
"I think you still like Shannon too." Ted said with sincerity.
Ryan sighed and looked down at his hands.
"And it's obvious she likes you too." Ted continued. Ryan just kept looking down, not saying anything. "Something to think about buddy." Ted got up and left him alone with his thoughts.
