{A black BMW Z3 roadster pulls up to the darkened back parking lot of the arena.  We cannot make the figure out just yet, but we see him get out of the vehicle and walk towards us carrying a large duffel bag.  The camera goes back to the action just as the man steps under an overhead light.}

{Fade in on the interior of the L.A. Coliseum as a pyrotechnics display wows the crowd. The cameras then pan the crowd as they wave their signs and cheer loudly. Finally they close in on ringside where Jason Grant and Garrett McFarland are seated at the announce table bearing the GXW logo.}

JG: Welcome to Los Angeles, California! Welcome to the L.A. Coliseum! And welcome to Global X-treme Wrestling's inaugural show, When Worlds Collide! I'm your host, Jason Grant, and seated to my right is color commentator extraordinaire, Garrett McFarland! What up, Gary Mac?!

GM: Tonight, the rules have changed! Tonight, Global X-treme Wrestling redefines what wrestling is all about, and I am thrilled to be a part of tonight's show!

JG: Well said. Fans, tonight we're set to bring you 14 great match-ups featuring stars from the former Nth Wrestling Alliance and Extreme Wrestling International, and a few faces you may not have seen before. Before we go to the ring, however, I understand that GXW owners, Chad Dupree, and Erik Zieba, have a videotaped message to send out to all of you at home. Let's go to that now.

{Fade in on the offices of GXW headquarters. Chad Dupree and Erik Zieba are sitting on opposites of a wooden desk and looking up at the camera.}

CD: Tonight, an historic undertaking comes to fruition as Global X-treme Wrestling presents its first show. This has been a long time coming, and Erik and I are very pleased to be able to bring it to you.

EZ: Along those lines, we want to promise you, the fans, that tonight's show will deliver on every level you're expecting it to and then will proceed to go beyond those expectations.

CD: And that's something we here at GXW pride ourselves on; delivering what the people want and then giving them just a bit more. GXW's Commissioner, Robert Drake, is fully aware of our stance on this and has assured us he will act accordingly.

EZ: So grab your favorite adult beverage, sit back, and get ready as GXW launches wrestling into the new millennium.

{Fade out.}

{Fade back to ringside.}

JG: A fitting start to tonight's action, and speaking of action, let's get the night started with our first of 7 title matches as 4 teams battle it out to determine the very first GXW Television Tag Team champions. Any thoughts, Garrett?

GM: I think any of the 4 teams involved could walk out as the champions, so it's going to boil down to who wants it the most. Only one team can leave with those gold belts.

JG: It's sure to be an intense match. Let's go to the ring.

Television Tag Team Title Match

Insane Pain
Combined Weight: 617 lbs.
"My Way" - Limp Bizkit
The Heavy Metal Express
Combined Weight: 497 lbs.
"Heavy Metal" - Sammy Hagar
Fast Lane
Combined Weight: 675 lbs.
"La Grange" - ZZ Top
The College Boys
Combined Weight: 518 lbs.
"I Walked In" - Brougham

"My Way" by Limp Bizkit cues up as the massive Tommy Payne and the not-so-massive Ricky Payne make their way to the ring, jeering and heckling the crowd.

JG: And our first participants don’t seem that happy with the crowd.

GM: Who can blame them? We’re in LA for Christ’s sake.

As the Payne brothers get in their corner, "Heavy Metal" by Sammy Hagar cranks up and The Heavy Metal Express run down to the ring, soliciting a mottled reaction from the capacity crowd. Ozzy and Jimi leap up onto the apron, and then to separate ring posts, each flying off with a missile dropkick, flattening Insane Pain.

GM: Did the bell ring?

JG: Did you hear it?

GM: I ignore a lot of things. Like you.

Just as the Heavy Metal Express connect with the Payne brothers, "I Walked In" by Brougham cues up and The College Boys, Trent and Bruce sprint to the ring, rolling under the bottom rope and nailing stereo clotheslines on Ozzy and Jimi.

JG: This is chaotic!

As Insane Pain recover and the HME and College Boys brawl around in the ring, "La Grange" by ZZ Top blasts over the loudspeakers as the final participants, Fast Lane run down to the ring and roll in, joining in the free for all. Eventually, the referee gets everyone but Jimi Sinister and Trent Reynolds out of the ring.

GM: Finally! These refs are worthless, I tell you!

JG: Well, that aside, now that the match is under control, the winner is the first team who scores pinfall. No eliminations.

Sinister charges at Reynolds with a shoulder block, but Reynolds reverses Jimi’s own momentum into a belly-to-belly overhead suplex, slamming the Heavy Metal Express member’s shoulders into the mat.

JG: Impressive wrestling from Trent Reynolds.

GM: What do you expect? The College Boys are former NthWA tag team champions.

Reynolds attempts to lock on an armbar, but Sinister fights out of it, nailing a spinning headscissors on Reynolds before running to the ropes and bouncing off with an elbow drop onto the prone Trent. Jimi walks over to his corner and tags in Ozzy who climbs up onto the top turnbuckle and flies off with a flying knee drop across the sternum of Reynolds.

JG: Heavy Metal Express is dominating the competition so far.

GM: I wouldn’t hold my breath.

The move seems to hurt Ozzy more than it does Trent, who merely gets to his feet, kicking the writhing Ozzy McSarah in the stomach several times before reaching out blindly to the corner he’s currently in for a tag. The giant Tommy Payne slides into the ring grabbing Ozzy around the waist and slamming him into the mat with a bearhug slam.

GM: Insane Pain and Heavy Metal Express have vowed to destroy one another here tonight!

With an amazing show of strength, Tommy Payne lifts Ozzy up high into the air and then body presses him the ten or so feet to the mat, the HME member bouncing as he connects. Stingray from Fast Lane reaches out to Tommy Payne, blind tagging him.

JG: That doesn’t seem to please Payne!

Tommy Payne attempts to grab Stingray, but the Fast Lane member ducks into the ring and begins laying the boots to Ozzy as the ref ushers Payne out of the ring. Stingray immediately runs to the ring post, and leaps off with a flying body splash.

GM: The Stingray Splash! It’s Stingray’s finisher!

At the last second, Ozzy rolls out of the way, Stingray connecting with nothing but canvas. Ozzy limps over to the College Boys corner, tagging in Joe Bruce. Stingray attempts to rush the entering Bruce, but ends up on the receiving end of a big boot from Joe. As the action in the ring continues, Ozzy and Jimi Sinister begin setting up tables on either side of the ring.

GM: The hell?

Joe tags in Ricky Payne lands a hurracanrana on Stingray, sending him to the mat. Meanwhile, Tommy Payne has rushed over to Ozzy on the outside and the two begin brawling, Barracuda eventually getting involved as well.

JG: This match is getting out of control!

Tommy Payne grabs Ozzy and Barracuda by the throats and lifts them into the air for a double chokeslam, but Ozzy grabs onto Payne, pulling all three men into the two stacked tables together. As this is going on, Jimi Sinister sneaks over to the College Boy’s corner, pulling both of them off the apron and sending them crashing into their own stack of tables. Sinister quickly resumes his place at his corner as Stingray looks around blindly for a tag. He sees Jimi and tags him in, rolling out of the ring to lie motionless.

JG: The Heavy Metal Express had this planned all along! I don’t believe it!

Jimi and Ricky Payne lock up, with Sinister getting the upper hand. He nails a DDT, spiking Payne’s head onto the mat. He raises an arm to the crowd before lifting Ricky up and slamming him to the mat with a fisherman’s suplex.

GM: The Heavy Metalplex!

JG: The ref drops to count! 1...2..3! The Heavy Metal Express are the first ever Television Tag Team Champions!

Winners: Heavy Metal Express (new GXW TV Tag Team Champions)

JG: The Heavy Metal Express are the GXW Television Tag Team Champions!

GM: I tell ya, that was a wild match and it could have gone to any of those teams. Heavy Metal Express better watch out though, because they'll be defending those titles quite a bit.

JG: Indeed. Up next, the so-called "Career Ender" Chris Lehew will take on the former "Naughty Frog" Jonathan Davis. Lehew is one of the most detestable human beings in GXW as far as I'm concerned and I hope Davis takes it to himi.

GM: Eh, don't count on it. Chris Lehew is on a mission to gain the respect he so richly deserves.

JG: What he deserves it to have Zero kick his teeth down his throat.

GM: Such hostility!

JG: Let's go to the ring.

"Career Ender" Chris Lehew
6'4", 220 lbs.
Denver, CO
"Greed" - Godsmack
Jonathan Davis
6'1", 219 lbs.
Lilly Pad, MO
"Place To Run" -Korn

Both men make their respective entrances, with the battered Kristina Louvoin accompanying Lehew to the ring. Lehew glowers at her and commands her to stand at ringside as he gets in the ring.

JG: Ugh. What a despicable human being.

GM: She's gotta know her place.

JG: Her place?! Join the rest of us in the new millennium, Gabe.

Davis jumps Lehew as he gets in the ring, driving his right forearm down across the back of Lehew's neck and then ramming his head into a nearby turnbuckle. He slouches in the corner and Davis mounts the second turnbuckle for a 2-count punch. On the 6th punch, Lehew powerbombs Davis to the mat and then puts his feet on the bottom, getting a 2-count before Davis slips a shoulder up.

JG: Look at that! Lehew's cheating already!

GM: What's wrong with that?

JG: Never mind.

Both men get to their feet, but it's Lehew who catches Davis with a head scissors takedown. Davis springs back up only to catch a boot to the stomach and then take a swinging neckbreaker. Lehew follows up with a legdrop across the throat and covers for another 2-count. Lehew pulls his opponent up and goes for an Irish whip, but Davis reverses it and catches him with a clothesline as he come back at him.

JG: Davis with a resurgence in offense!

GM: It won't last.

Lehew gets back up but Davis assaults with a variety of punches and kicks, keeping Lehew staggered. He then goes for a DDT, but Lehew drops to his knees. Davis pulls him back up and goes for it again, but this time Lehew blocks the move and nails Davis in the groin. He follows up by slamming Davis to the canvas and heading up top.

JG: Lehew's headed up top!

GM: He's gonna fly, Grant!

The crowd pops in amazement as Lehew leaps off and connects with a twisting senton splash. Lehew doesn't go for the pin but instead picks Davis up, whips him to the ropes and then catches him for the Wergeld. Lehew covers, hooking the leg, and secures the 3-count.

Winner: "Career Ender" Chris Lehew

JG: Well, Chris Lehew wins, albeit by cheating. Did you see how intimidate Kristina Louvoin is? She's scared senseless because of that piece of...

GM: Watch it! Besides, she didn't look THAT bad.

JG: Yeah, whatever. Anyway, coming up next we have "Whirlwind" Ken Peters taking on Jeffrey Roberts. Roberts I'm sure will have his brother, who is also his manager, with him. Peters is a youngster with lots of potential though, so where this goes is anyone's call.

GM: If Peters defeats Roberts, I'll eat my shoe.

JG: Promise?

GM: Well...no...

JG: Thought not. Let's take it up to the ring.

"Whirlwind" Ken Peters
235 lbs.
Oakland, CA
"Whiskey in the Jar" - Metallica
Jeffrey Roberts
6'4", 245 lbs.
Miami, FL
"Paint It Black" - Gob

"Whiskey in the Jar" by Metallica cues up as Peters makes his way to the ring receiving a stagnant reaction from the fans. He paces around in the ring for a moment before the lights go down as "Paint it Black" by Gob blasts over the loudspeakers as Jeffrey Roberts walks smirking to the ring, locking up with "Whirlwind".

JG: Roberts is looking a bit over-confidant. That could be his downfall.

GM: Do you have any idea how scripted you sound? Where’s the cue card?

Roberts slams a knee into Peters’ stomach, taking him down with a vicious jumping DDT. Jeffrey Roberts immediately runs to the turnbuckles, running up them and then spinning around, leaping off with a shooting star press onto Peters. The ref drops to the mat and begins his count: 1..2..but Peters kicks out as the ref’s hand is a millimeter from the mat.

GM: Close fall from Roberts, laugh arrogantly...whoops.

JG: Yeah, I don’t think you were supposed to read that line, slick.

GM: Silence, mortal.

Peters gets to his feet first, nailing Roberts with a gutwrench powerbomb followed up by several elbow drops and a cover. Roberts kicks out after 1, but looks disoriented. Peters runs to the ropes and looks for a springboard flying clothesline, but Roberts intercepts him in mid-air with a spear, slamming "Whirlwind" into the turnbuckles with enough force to rock the ring. Roberts tries to acid drop Peters out of the corner, but Ken shoves him off, following up with a leg drop.

JG: I think Ken Peters just found the proverbial chink in Jeffrey Roberts’ armor. Now if he can capitalize...

Peters lifts Roberts to his feet and locks his arms around him, trying to throw him over in a belly-to-belly overhead suplex, but Roberts rolls over top of Peters and pulls him down with a reverse schoolboy pin.

GM: Peters went for his finisher, but it backfired big time!

The referee, dropping to count, doesn’t notice Jeffrey Roberts getting leverage from the ropes, and counts 1..2..3.

Winner: Jeffrey Roberts

JG: Well, Jeffrey Roberts is your winner, but a tarnished victory is his.

GM: Feh, who cares! He won! That’s all that matters.

JG: I'm being told we've got something going on in the back. Let's go to that now.
