Double Entendre is open Monday through Saturday 12-7 and there is chess at 6pm on Sundays. They carry all independent releases. Double Entendre also carries bike messenger bags and offer a bike discount (show up on your bike and receive 15% off in the summer, 20% during the fall and spring and 30% off in the winter!) Paul is in the process of rearanging the play space to make shows better than ever. Also, there is to be a pool table coming soon.

This is a great place to get your hair cut. It is owned by a woman named Joyce who started by cutting and dying her friends' hair in her basement and it grew into her very own salon. Not only can they cut your hair they also do perms, color and hair extensions.

They've got excellent food for cheap, a ton of vegan/vegetarian dishes, cheap drinks at the bar and unlimited chips and salsa (if you are crafty you can get away with only eating the chips and salsa).

Now, just to be confusing, Twist and Shout Underground has different hours than regular Twist and Shout (they claim it is to be more "productive", though I think it is just to make more work for me). These completely different hours are: Monday through Saturday from 11-9 and Sundays 11-7. They've been getting a good crop of punk in lately, lots of those 45's and 7"'s we all know and love. Twist and Shout Underground specializes in vinyl, cassettes, books and videos (no, not those kinds...).
