The Littleton massacre - cold blood or misunderstood?

Everyone knows about it, but has the media made these two teenagers look much worse then they were? Two kids who just snapped from being tormented? There were approximately 7 school shootings in the past 18 months. This one happened to be by two kids wearing all black and trench coats. Why is so much blame being put on these so-called "gothic" teens? If you look at the facts, less then 15% of the past school shootings in the past 18 months have been performed by "gothic" teens, or kids dressed in black. Just because these two were determined to do a little more damage, doesn't mean everyone that dresses like them should be frowned upon. Plus, the media has blown their lives way out of proportion. For example, MSNBC decided that Eric Harris' webpage which no longer exists contained information on what he called "doomsday." After viewing the page myself, I discovered that Eric had been a fanatic of the computer game "Doom", and even programmed add-ons for it. This page will simply show different points as to why Eric and Dylan might not seem quite as bad as they have been made out to look. Normal humans can snap too.
The Trench Coat Mafia - blown up by the media?
Did pictures like this one which did not include Harris or Klebold make the media believe the Trench Coat Mafia was bigger then anyone thought? This one had appeared in an earlier yearbook.
The Trench Coat Mafia- They were said to be some sort of gang all having volatile attitudes. Again, this is something the media blew up. They found a picture or a couple of references to this group of kids, and ended up making the "trench coat mafia" famous. As it turns out, the "TCM" is just what other children at Columbine High started calling Eric, Dylan, and their friends. As they would pass by, it would be yelled at them. They never started a "gang", simply turned it around. Instead of letting it make them feel lower then everyone, they just started calling themselves that. Until the shooting, most of the students at Columbine High School had never even heard the term.

Eric Harris' AOL profiles exposed!
The night of the shooting, most evidence of anything Eric or Dylan left on the internet was saved by the FBI and deleted from the internet. Alas, here are screen shots of 3 of his known profiles.

*Just iN* - profiles for "LCaress" and "Shootjocks" - - these are 2 other AOL profiles that have recieved a lot of publicity after the shooting. It's hard to tell whether or not these are totally bogus, since I have not found pure screen shots, but ones with a yellow box with a quote in it, obviously edited if actual screen shots. If you have a screen shot of the "Wurmhole" profile which is said to be Dylan's screen name, please send it this way. :)
Eric Harris' own words on making pipe bombs with shrapnel, and napalm. This includes different varieties, as well as his conclusion as to which versions work the best. I have included a fixed version which I got by accident after pasting the ascii version into a mail. I see no point in offering you the file as I recieved it, because you will just have to make it legible.
Supposedly there were hand drawn pictures and threats all over his ftp sites. The only one I found that night can be viewed here. It depicts mostly scenes from the game "Doom." Many pages have included smaller, maybe even clearer versions, but this one has been taken straight from the members.aol REB DoMiNe page.
