Hello all you wilderness enthusiasts out there. My name is Forrest Tagan and I am starting this club for folks in the Colorado Front Range area. I am looking for people who share my passion for the great outdoors to get together and share our experiences with each other and learn new skills that will bring us closer to Mother Nature.
I have been studying wilderness manuals and Tom Brown Jr’s wilderness teachings for several years now and I go on primitive retreats regularly with my wife and two children. I have wanted to take things to another level of experience by attending a major survival school but there appears to be nothing in our area (Colorado) that offers these teachings. In the latest issue of True Tracks, a newsletter published by Tom Brown’s Tracking, Nature and Wilderness Survival school, there appeared an article by “Ninja” Joe Lau entitled TRANSMISSION OF KNOWLEDGE. His advice to people wanting to know what the first step is to starting a school is- don’t start a school. Start a club first.
So hence my idea to reach out to like hearted people to get together and share our experiences and specialties with each other. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO CONTACT ME IF THIS INTERESTS YOU. NO MATTER WHAT SKILL LEVEL YOU ARE AT, EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO SHARE TO MAKE THIS CLUB A SUCCESS!
