This was the Super Bowl Sunday desperation chase, as we all had chase fever after sitting around watching storm video for the past 2 days. It was a longshot chance, and we drove all the way down to San Marcos, TX, taking in some of that warm, humid air for the first time this year. It was a welcome relief to the cold and ice that Oklahoma had dealt with all winter. No storms occurred until well after dark, and the couple storms that did form were relatively weak. Needless to say, the chase was a total bust, but we did see a very large snake riding along with its owner as we drove through Austin.
