I am keeping this journal as a process of self-discovery regarding weight and size issues. The nickname "Snail Woman" is in deference to my God-given metabolism, which operates at the speed of a snail at rest! At times when I want to lose weight, I feel like I'm using Herculean efforts to get no results. I have one foot in each of two "worlds": the desire to lose some weight and be smaller, and the desire to fully accept who I am now.
