Hans Heinrich was born May 23, 1822 in Curau, Eutin Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. He married Emelie Sophia Knaack in 1847 in Germany. Emelie was born May 23, 1822 in Neu Hoferfeld, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Hans died February 18, 1898 Crawford County, Iowa. Emelie died October 5, 1909 in Los Angeles, California.
