THE COURAGE TO DANCE

She's been coming to this place for quite awhile
And everynight, she sat there all alone
No one ever talked to her
She never spoke a word
But she always liked the atmosphere
And the music that she heard

Then one night a stranger came along
Who finally got the nerve to take a chance
It was the first time that she ever showed a smile
But sad to say, they never got to dance

As she rolled out from behind the bar
With her wheelchair still intact
He said "I'm sorry, I didn't know"
Then he turned around and left

Now she didn't have a partner
But she danced anyway
To a song called " the chair"
She danced in her own way

No she didn't have a partner
But she danced anyway
To a song called "the dance"
She danced in her own way

I find it quite inspiring
How the ones who never walk
Are the ones who have
The courage
To dance

While the ones who always walk away
And never take a chance
Are the ones who will never have
The courage to dance

Yes, I find it quite inspiring
How the ones who never walk
Are the ones who have
The courage

To dance
