UUUS is in a new period of discovery about who we are as a congregation. (both in Grand Junction and Delta). We all come from different places, physically and spiritually. We have come together because of these differences and as we seek out new ministerial leader, we must become better at capitalizing upon those differences. Spiritually, it may be safe to assume we are “free-thinking.”
I would like us to open our minds to the opportunity of change and growth with our pending ministerial process. We should encourage our lay leadership to prepare for challenge. We should ask our search committee to find the best, brightest, creative, intellectually prepared person to fit our unique congregationand community.
Are we up to the challenge? The vote was a resounding yes!
