The buildings surrounding the courthouse are of the late 1800's. Most have been restored to their original appearance.
I always suscpected that Albia was a railroad junction because of all the happenings there but Iowa history did not yield anything. The copy of a 1910 postcard tells all.
The postcard was on Ebay and Paul & I pooled our resources and went to about $40.00. The fial price was $79.00. At least I got a copy off ebay.
