Foray Schedule for the Millennial Year

July 20 (Note the change of date) – Vera Evenson and Tom Ruzicka. Somewhere west of Boulder. Meeting time and place will be announced in the July Spores. This is a Special Interest Foray to collect for the Botanic Gardens Mycology Department. You will learn more about mushrooms and collecting than you ever thought possible. August 3 – Ellen Jacobson. - THIS FORAY IS ON!!!
Agaricus Foray. Learn all about Agaricus and anything else we might find. Meet at Morrison Road @ I-70 at 9AM. We are going to the Chicago Forks area. 303-741-3836.

August 5 – Larry Renshaw. - THIS FORAY HAS BEEN CANCELED
Weekend Fungal Camping Trip. These outings are almost too much fun, even though we rarely find many mushrooms. Time and location will be announced in the July Spores. 303-688-1294

August 12 – Mark Donsky. - THIS FORAY HAS BEEN CANCELED
Explore South Park and Jefferson Lakes with a man who lives there. Meet at the “caboose” in Jefferson at 9:30 AM.  Jefferson is the very small town on 285, just south of Kenosha Pass. 719-836-2864

August 13 – Tom and Tomi Taggart. -
THIS FORAY HAS BEEN CANCELED - NO MUSHROOMS!
You can be sure that two of our most popular Foray leaders will find a super site with lots of stuff.  Morrison/I-70 at 9AM. 303-423-5317

August 19 – Ed Lubow.
Ed knows his mushrooms well and has a knack for finding edibles.  Morrison/I-70 at 9AM.

August 20 – Jason and Button Salzman.
City Foray. Your best opportunity to meet a famous fungal pair. Time and meeting place to be announced.

August 25 or 26 – Dr. Orson Miller. This is your big chance to collect with one of the giants of Mycology. We will be collecting for the Fair, where Dr. Miller will be the Chief Mycologist. Exact date, time, and meeting place will be in the July Spores.

September 2 – Scott Frank. Beginner’s Foray and the last of the season. Collect with the President of CMS. This foray is for new members only; old members may attend, but will have to HELP! Morrison/I-70 at 9AM. 303-333-3460

Be sure to always bring your CMS membership card with you whenever you show up at a foray. Except for guests with a member, those with out a card will not be allowed to come along.

The board of directors has voted to limit attendance at the forays to members of CMS only. Members wishing to bring a guest must accompany the guest on the foray. Guests will not be allowed to attend by themselves. Non members may join CMS and go on a foray by giving the foray leader a check made out to CMS for $23.00. The Board requests the cooperation of foray leaders in this matter.

Please note that car-pooling from the meeting area to the foray location is strongly encouraged. It is often difficult to find a place where several cars can pull off the road together to foray. Carpooling is a good chance to meet and talk with other CMS members on a one-to-one basis. Try it, you'll like it!

This list is tentative. Additional forays may be added to this list and details of the forays listed here are subject to change. Check back to this page to check for changes and/or call the foray leader.
