Trail System

The Kincardine Cross Country Ski Club maintains and grooms trails in the Stoney Island Conservation area, 4 kms north of the town of Kincardine on County Road 23 (B Line). The trails are groomed for both skating and classical skiing. They run through sheltered hardwood and cedar bush. There are 1.2 (flat),1.5 km, 3 km and 5 km loops. These trails are prepared for winter by work parties who cut weeds, clear trails, repair bridges remove fallen trees and trim trees. If anyone is willing to help with grooming please call Karel on 396 7383.

Trail maps and membership forms are available at the hut. Day passes are also available. The hut is opened on weekends and in the evenings on weekdays. For more info call 519 396 7383. Current snow conditions: February 28: All loops are snow covered and groomed. Skating track is excellent, classical track is barely acceptable. Snowshoeing trail in excellent condition as well.
