The survival of the Jackrabbit Program relies on the support of a dedicated group of Jackrabbit Leaders and parents.
There are many ways your talents can be put to use, for example, by assisting with registration, telephoning, organizing events, but most importantly, by becoming a Jackrabbit Leader. This is not something that you need be afraid of. The children need organization as much as anything and you can do this. Your ability as a skier will be matched to that of the group you are leading, and you will be given training material and tips on how to teach, and how to improve your own technique. You will be introduced to the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), where you can get professional instruction to improve your ability, not only as a Coach, but also as a skier. If you want to improve your own skiing, becoming a Jackrabbit Leader is still the best way. And, it’s a great opportunity to get some fresh air and exercise.
